  1. Looks great! What size are those titans? Your interior is about like mine. I have enough to drive it and that is about it. Need a whole new dash, etc.
  2. Picked up some 18" titans this evening as well. Those wheels are huge. Leaning towards the 16" Escalade wheels right now. The house, I picked them up from, was for sale. Just a few thousand less than 1 million. Young guy too. Wanted to ask him what he did for a living but didn't. He had nothing but new Nissans in the garage.
  3. Mine is kinda a all mixed up on the drivetrain, so I don't know if it is a 76 rear end or not. I have only tried the left rear and the wheel hits the EB cable. Plus the tires would rub the springs. So a spacer should do fine for both. I haven't tried the front end yet. I don't plan on lowering mine anytime soon so I should have plenty of space for the wheels/tires to stick out some. It sits pretty high in both the front and the rear. If I don't have to use spacers in the front, I won't mind the front and rear having two different widths.
  4. Getting motivated on the truck and found a great great deal on some escalade wheels. They are only 16" wheels but that will be ok since I got some decent performance tires 225/60/16 tires to put on them. I was running the tires on a Range Rover before and it cornered great with them. Did a trial fitment on the rear. Have to get some spacers to clear the e-brake cable. Here is what the wheels look like (just like these plus dirty film.)
  5. I am batting zero on this so far. The local wally world only had orange (maybe?.) But no engine clear. Checked another WW tonight and they didn't have any colors. Fate is telling me not to do this trick I guess.
  6. Wish they was closer. My daughter's 521 needs replacement fenders. But I am sure shipping would kill me.

    Is it level?

I like the steering wheel too. Is that metallic red? I was going to get a stock wheel, but now I think I want to find a old school metallic one. I had also thought about a welded chain one, but that might be over board Yesterday I was thinking your truck was fine, but I like the new lowered stance. I got some wheels like yours out in the barn. I had not thought about using them for my 620 until I saw yours. I know the old Z's used slotted wheels so it might fit the look for mine as well. I was going to lower mine too, but I got stopped in my Honda for loud exhaust the other day and while he was writing the ticket, he also mention that low riders are illegal too unless they have been inspected and the suspension found to be safe. I would have to go up to Denver and get it inspected and then carry the paperwork w/ me. I usually am not that worried, but my neighbors call me in all the time. They don't like the number of vehicles I have. So if I leave a set of wheels on my drive more than a day or two, I can expect a complaint. I do have one question though. Tell me about the motor cycle.
  8. Japan? That is where the truck is at. Seriously though, I have a set that look sorta like those. Mine haven't had the centers cut out, bent or "deep dished", welded back on, and then chromed though. What I am saying, those look like some altered stockers to me. If I remember right, mine are off of an Isuzu. I use them for 6 bolt trailer wheels.

    hit 100?

I had to start driving my 76 620 to work since my "mighty Honda" got sited for excess noise (loud exhaust.) I had not had it out on the highway before that. I would say 85/90 is about it due to the stiff suspension and the old truck tires. However, it is quite fast w/ the "unidentified Z-motor" and the 5 speed. I took on a Mustang GT yesterday (not sure he knew we was racing at first :) ) I had it up to 70 when I saw a tiny thing coming up fast in the mirror. A couple of seconds later, he passes me. I still got my jollies though, dusting him from the start. Once I get my wheels/tires and a softer suspension, I will check in again.
  10. Those prices are not that bad, that was about what they was selling for in Japan. There was this one 4x4 lot that I would visit every couple of weeks. The diesel ones always fascinated me. I still don't that kind of bucks for a toy. I think if I could afford that, I would get a Yamaha Rhino and do the full cage w/ back seats kit. Would be a great trail rig that would be easy to maintain and such. We had one in Iraq that I had alot of fun with. We ended up loosing the clutch in it after we let our 1st Sgt use it. I guess he was tougher on it than us. We also had ATV's which for over a month, my daily driver was an ATV. Had to air up the tires real high to handle the constant road use. We would get out and play every once in a while, but had to be mindful of the minefields and the UXO littered terrain.
  11. Thanks, but way too far away for me. That are not that rare in Colorado so maybe I will find the perfect one for me. I had found one a couple of years ago w/ a swapped in Camaro engine that was a good price, but I had just bought a Built up Samurai and a house and couldn't justify buying the m715.
  12. The meets since then (ones I haven't been able to attend,) there has been even more. The Colorado meet was the initial, still got the tee shirts stashed away somewhere. One annual was in Oklahoma at Disney. Another was a winter meet in Arizona or New Mexico, can't remember which. There was one in Canada (I think the last.) And the next one is going to be at Moab. We have talked about trying to make that one. I am looking forward to some Datsun meets. I like the "meet new people" aspect usually more than the chance to see their rigs. Some great places in Colorado to meet and such... ;)
  13. I really really want one. Their only weak link was the engine and that is easily swapped out. If I had a ranch, I would have one now. But as is, 10 vehicles, in the city is way enough... Hey nice doing the flash back with you Jester. How many different brands have we covered? All on a Datsun site. haha They should invent a "vehicle based" trivia game. Meatloaf can host this one as well.
  14. Very close. But it was for the U.S. Military during the Korean war. I am sure we used some in Japan too. If my memory is holding up. They used the Willys military jeep as a guide. They called it a Toyota BJ Jeep. Don't know what the BJ stood for, but I like the sound of it...:D::thumbsup::rolleyes:
