  1. Good info on the starter, thanks Mike. To share another hobby of mine, I've been playing around with 3D printing functional parts. This shift nob I printed, painted, epoxied, and polished. Also playing around with some velocity stacks. The material I printed this in would not actually hold up. I'm looking into some materials that could actually work now.
  2. I was having some starting issues, so I decided to run through and clean things up. I've never seen such a harassed circuit. I took the picture even after taking a wire nut out of the mix. And this starter is from a later model?
  3. Hello all, I've been getting to know a little red roadster pretty well the last few months. I purchased the car outside Sacramento and trailered it home. The plan is to get it running well mechanically, then drive the snot out of it. My current issues are the front suspension and electricals. The banged up right front fender leads me to believe there is some damage to the suspension components. The wheel looks cambered in and toed out, car pulls to the left. Some direction here is appreciated. Coming home: Cleaned up a bit: Engine: Interior: Suspension in question: It seems to me like the upper ball joint is at a strange angle. Also, turning the steering to its far left gets tough, and lifts the a-arms. Strange?
  4. Wow! Thats quite a history! I look forward to seeing the finished product.
  5. Hey! Your big gulp method is freakin ingenious. I like your style, sir.

  6. Its a great show, and great week of events. The big day for the car show is saturday, and the cruise is always fun. All cars are welcome and well received - american/vw's/brittish/of all styles. I actually cant remember the last time I saw a 510 out. This was me in the cruise in my old vw:
  7. Along the lines of being sneaky: In high school we would hide tall cans in big gulp size drinks at mini marts and pay for them as big gulps. Made school trips a bit more exciting. +
  8. Sent him a message through craigslist. Hopefully it isin't spoken for and someone on Ratusn can pick it up!
  9. Bump for throwing this up on Craigslist. Would love to see it kept in the ratsun family.
  10. I plan on meeting in Tracy! Looking forward to tomorrow!
  11. Where are you guys planning on meeting at? Im gonna be heading out from modesto.
  12. The interior on my car is mostly maroon. Ill take some pictures of the interior and door panels so you can see.

  13. Down for 100! Cards look awesome.
  14. hows it going man. just scrolling through some post and saw you basically have the same car as i do. wondering what color your interior is since mines all goofed up and im wanting to get it re apolstered. not sure if it was a white and muroon and black or what lol. its too messed up to tell. got ant pics you can send out. thanks fellow ratsuner.

  15. I'm running an mgb intake and exhaust, along with a reground camshaft to mgb performance specs. Electronic ignition and lightened flywheel help too. You can look into running a j13 head with j15 valves to bring the compression up. There is performance stuff out there for the mgb that should fit, but being crazy expensive, its risky. They sell crossflow cylinder heads, and other crazy valve train parts for them. The mgb guys have had success with supercharging, you can look into that.
