  1. I unbolted my muffler and just left the cat. It sounds like a beast! I also pulled some bucket seats out of an old subie and got them mounted. Did all that yesterday. Today I bought a chrome rear bumper from a junk yard and im getting ready to install. Also putting some 6x9s behind the seat

    free 720

I also have a clean nissan gate and im looking for a Datsun tail gate. Im buying another 83' 720 tomorrow for $250 that has a clean nissan tailgate... Im in Oregon
  3. I love the truck! I really like the wheels and have been looking for a new set for my 83' 720. Would you want so sell them? ALSO!! Any one else have a stock tach gauge cluster to sell?!?!?! I replaced mine due to a bad volt reg. to the fuel and volt gauge. and it has not tach.

    First 720

if only you were not 5,000 miles a way........ The truck would be mine! (is it 4x4?) :w00t:
  5. So i got the rear bumper i found for my 83' 720. i have a tow ball but i don't have any wires back there for brake lights.. I need to know were i would cut into or if there is a plug on the wire harness to add a plug Full instructions to also add trailer brakes would be awesome!!!
  6. i like the wheels! The truck is really clean all around. Are you willing to sell the other wheels your took off your truck? what size are they?
  7. Just wanted to say i scored a gauge cluster today for 30$ out of a junk yard. Hooked it up and I finally have a fuel and temp gauge (and about 70,000miles less) Im going back tomorrow to get the rear bumper off that 720  After that, im goin for some bucket seats With a Head Rest!
  8. I would say go through all the vac lines first. I put a whole rebuild kit on my carb and still had problems. 2 weeks later i found a broken vac line i had missed. i fix it and bam the problem solved (not to say i have not had other things to worry about and fix) But if its not a vac line you can always do a rebuilt kit and blow the carb out good with compressed air and carb cleaner. Please please use safety glasses, I caught some carb cleaner to the eye and it shut down my whole world for about 20minutes. im sure there are other things to think about, im sure some of the more seasoned datsun guys will chime in.
  9. They should!!! good luck
  10. Cool thats what I was really hoping to hear.
  11. Yeah, my girlfriend would never let me sell it. Her dad bought it brandnew back in 84' and put 200,000 miles on it him self. He also did a full rebuilt on the engine about 30,000 miles ago... But that was 15 years ago! When he gave me the truck (for free) about 3 months ago, it had been sitting for 13 YEARS! So i pulled it out of the bushes and gave it a lot of love under the hood and around the body. She is comin together great though, Runs like a champ (except for the carb problems i had).
  12. always appreciate your input datzenMike Thx
  13. here are some pics of my truck from today
  14. cool well if deleting the cat is not really going to make a difference then i thing my plan will stay with stock headers, and a cat back, 2in pipe to a nice short, less restrictive muffler. As soon as tax money comes in, im goin for the Weber 38dgav baby! cant wait. no more vacuum line bullshit running my second barrel. I want those suckers to open together!
