  1. 1972 Datsun 510 Clean Oregon title Originally intended for a Group 2 Rally application, but the car was never finished. Was media blasted, primered and professionally painted inside and out; interior is white, exterior is a dark green that I liked from a 2000 Subaru Outback, though it came out darker (appears black to some in these photos, but it is dark green) Body was as rust-free as I've seen, though I did have the front pans professionally replaced. Hood, doors, fenders, trunk lid, cowl, gas door - all included and painted to match. I did not have a set of pop-out windows (included) painted at the time as I was going to use some sort of poly/Hyzod for the popouts and rear. Caged, stitch-welded, front and rear suspension tied in, front strut tower brace Rear trailing arms have been reinforced Front & rear crossmember - rear has been modified to compensate for raising the car for rally purposes, another stock rear crossmember is included R180, halfshafts, with 4.62 gearset and Torsen LSD New front windshield New front windshield and rear glass gaskets New weatherstripping all the way around Grill, headlights, eyebrows, rear tailights, side markers, emblems - all included Modified front control arms to suit 240sx spindles - for greater strut and brake options - but can use factory control arms, stock set included Custom machined billet aluminum brackets to fit 240sx rear brake calipers Includes one extra set of control and trailing arms. Includes (2) sets of wheels, with a gently used set of Silverstones and a new set of Silverstones (rally tires) Gas tank, steering column, ignition, dash - all included. Motor, 2386cc, never run - parts sold by David Weber (RIP) of Malvern Racing Z22 block, Z24 crankshaft, L20 head, L or Z20 (can't recall) rods, custom JE piston - professionally built, I can put you in touch with the engine builder (2) Mikuni 44mm carburetors (with all jets to tune) with horns and air cleaners Intake Header Nissan comp clutch Aluminum flywheel with replacement friction surface Electromotive ignition Performance camshaft, specs here somewhere Cam spray bar Nissan comp valvetrain - oversize valves, springs, retainers Nissan comp oil pan Electronic distributor Missing/known work to be done/musings Transmission not included - I was going to used a 280ZX transmission Driveshaft - will need to be shortened; (2) stock driveshafts included 4.62 is too aggressive a gearset for some, but gearsets are easily available Does not include rear glass I know a small number of additions would have to be made to the cage to qualify for Group 2 today, though when built, the cage exceeded all requirements. The above lists are not exhaustive; there are miscellaneous spares included that I haven't listed. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I will seriously consider all offers. Depending on the offer, I will consider selling the body and motor separately/individually. I don't even want to think about how much I paid for all of this, never mind the time invested - but it is in the immediate vicinity of $20k. 2. Price reduced to $4000. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/3567482068.html
  3. I've posted it on craigslist: I never thought I'd end up as one of those guys with unfinished projects, but here I am... I picked up this blueish 510 in NE Oregon about 10 years ago. It has a clean Oregon title, is straight, and rust-free to the best of my knowledge, the latter due to the climate in NE Oregon. It has 92682 miles on the clock which I believe to be original, due to how well the doors shut, how good of condition the body is, etc. My intention was always to 'some day' do a resto-mod of some kind, but that clearly hasn't happened. Someone attempted to repaint it at some point, I wish they had left it factory. But you'll be hard-pressed to find a better base from which to start a project from. 1.6 appears to be factory, though a dog-leg transmission has been installed. It started, ran, drove and stopped well when I stored it. At present it is not registered or insured. If I recall correctly, there is an issue with the ignition and/or starter solenoid; last time I started it I ended up using a screwdriver to bridge the terminals. In addition to the car, the buyer will receive all the Datsun parts that I have accumulated over the years, except for what I need to complete a second, different 510. These included parts are extensive, and include but are not limited to, new and complete set of replacement rubber and weatherstripping, as well as a NOS (new old stock) dash pad. $4800/best And if you're in the market for a painted and prepared caged shell (the previously mentioned car I need to finish, originally intended for rally; Group 2), or 2386cc race motor (L20head/Z22 block/Z24 crank with cut-down counterweights), that is separate conversation we can have. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/3548278976.html
