#1543492 L Series EFI Manifolds coming soon.

Posted by scooter on 01 February 2018 - 08:18 PM

There was one local kid that took a pair of Solex carbs, and turned them into ITBs by grinding off the whole fuel system, float bowl included.

You can't fix stupid....

RIP carbs... sigh.

I really wanna see a full on hardcore l series turbo efi build... cnc intake, full build lz23 with forged everything.. big ass borg warner turbo.... come on 500hp 4 cylinder L series haha

This will be a bitchin manifold for the die hard L series guys that wanna fuck with everyone else and still gloat..

Even then most people that see it wouldn't think it's some cnc badass custom thing... fucking kids these days don't even know what webers are.. If I hear “nice ITB's“ from some punk at cars and coffee one more time I'm gonna lose my shit

fair enough. this is billet badass shit not shitty cast chinese shit.. i probibly have 800 dollars into my carbs plus the 300 or so for the intake, nevermind the hours spent porting and tinkering with the carbs.

for the right guy its definitely worth it.

the fucking shitty thing for me is Canadian pesos aren't worth much right now, so at 800usd it would be like 1200 CAD to buy it, when the current intake setup on the car now I bought when our dollar was par.. so its shitty buying parts from 'murica.

small port version for the putt putt guys and a monster port behemoth for idiots who want to try to make 1000hp.....

or if you make one port design leave enough meat so the runners can be hogged out to 1.6 inches or so with a thicker area that could be tapped for nitrous nozzles...

since you have awesome machines you could probably pick a popular top feed injector and build a fuel rail to go with the manifold and make it super awesome.

any idea on cost for this cnc cut beauty? I think I would pass if it was 1500 bucks or something but if it was like 400-800 I think that would be fairly reasonable..

I'm interested to see what you come up with

#1539434 Canby 2018 presented by DNW

im in if theres some shinatigans... last year was cool even though it was rainy, but a cruise or an autocross or something would be sweet. i bought a bunch of c12 and barely burnt any down there... and i trailered because there is not enough room inside a 200 sx to camp and have enough spare parts in the car to drive it from Canada... and the diff would be smashing into the floor the whole way..

is there any state park campgrounds in the canby area? the fairgrounds was okay but the few places we camped at on the way down were awesome!

the entry fee seems legit to me...

Use lower comp forged pistons and arp bolt the stock rods. If u have head studs, great. Z24 head gasket is fine.

I didn't o ring my motor (12.3:1 100 shot nitrous motor) and the head gaskets been fine. Head studs though and a good block and head surface.

With these goods, bolt it together and ram a fuck ton of boost down its throat and hope you dont melt the exhaust valves out of the head lol.

The rods/crank are strong.

I'm curious to see what this makes.

Studs ftw!!! Do NOT get stainless ones, they will gall and snap off. Cadmium ones are good though.

#1523807 How does this bumper look???

cut the bottom off it at the style line and use the top half... too thick

#1517901 Arp head studs

my lz23 is 12.3:1 and has a 100 shot on it and has not failed yet, arp head studs and that ugly composite z24 head gasket. this is year 3 on the motor and a couple bottles have been run though on the 100 shot now...

IMO its cheaper to push a head gasket out than break a rod so i will continue to use fail-pro shitty composite head gaskets even though i havint popped one yet... L series FTW

the last 2 years it was on a 75 shot and has had a dozen or so bottles ran through it

#1496619 what proportioning valve I should use?

Posted by scooter on 14 June 2017 - 08:21 PM

If your rears are locking make sure your seals aren't leaking. Gear oil and brake fluid will make your rear brakes grab. Opposite to normal thinking.

#1496618 do I need valve reliefs?

Where in bc are ya? If your close to me I can help you put it together

Mike why didn't you say anything?! I wouldn't went for a rip, wouldof been a lot funner than sitting on my ass. On Saturday I tried to do a nitrous pull and ran out of nitrous. Sigh.
