  1. Today! Today! Today! I'm getting ready to head out the door to clean up the truck and off I go. Hope to see some of you out there! E
  2. Wow! That is nice! Takes me back to the good old days of mini truckin'..............E
  3. Quick reminder, less than 2 weeks away.........E
  4. Don't get discouraged Joe. I'll say one thing, considering all the recent problems you've had with electrical and weird mechanical issues, you've carried on like a trooper. Eventually all the bugs will get worked out and you can stroll problem free. Hang in there. I for one, and I'm sure more than just a few other people on here think you are one hardcore mini-trucker! E
  5. I thought that bunk stuff like that only happened to me (lol). Good luck with your search--you'll find another. E
  6. Looks nice Dreamer! Something about a 620 with a snug---tough look to beat! E
  7. Yes, it has. Hard to believe isn't it? Hope you can stop in again............E
  8. We're going to have a mini truck Cruise-In on September 18th. We did it last year and it was nice. I posted it in the events section, but here's a handy link so you can check it out. We hope some Denver/Colorado area Ratsun people will come out. E http://community.ratsun.net/topic/24182-mini-truck-cruise-in-lakewood-co/
  9. We put together a small gathering for mini trucks last year and it turned out pretty good. We had about a dozen trucks roll in throughout the day. We had a nice time, so we've decided to try it again, and hopefully more people can attend. Here's a copy of the flier we made up and will be handing out around town. We hope some Ratsun people in the area will make it out! E 2nd Annual Mini-Truck Cruise-In Bring out your slammed or sky riding little truck and meet some fellow truck enthusiasts! On Saturday, September 18th, the Old Car Council is having a Colfax Cruise and poker run. The event calls for classic vehicles, so most mini trucks may not fit the criteria. But, it may be fun to have a mini truck Cruise-In somewhere along the Colfax cruise route. We haven't seen an event like this since the 80s, so we thought we'd try to bring it back. If you've been into cars for a while, you know that mini trucks were very big in the late 70s all the way through the 80s, but have since dropped off. There used to be alot of truck-ins and truck shows, but those events are almost extinct--at least in Denver. Well, there are still some of us who like them, and we decided to do something about it. We decided to put out an invitation to all mini truckers to see if we can have an invasion on Colfax. Let's see if we can pack out a parking lot with minis! It doesn't matter if you have a new Chevy Colorado, Toyota, Datsun, Mazda Rotary, Nissan, Blazer, Mitsubishi or what have you. Whether it's an original Datsun 620, an S-10 bagged and sitting on the ground or a Toyota lifted to the sky, it's welcome! We are meeting around 1:00 at the Hamburger Stand at 1495 Holland, and will be there until whenever. This is in Lakewood, at around Colfax and Holland, which is just west of Colfax and Garrison between Wadsworth and Kipling. There is a vacant building next door to the stand with plenty of room for parking, so come out and meet some fellow mini truckers and show off your pride and joy. If this little gathering is successful, we will continue to do them from time to time, and make this Hamburger Stand THE place in town for minis to gather. Hopefully people will not be shy and will show up and support the mini truck. If you have any questions or need any more information, please call Mitch at 720-436-6247. We hope all can attend. See you on the Saturday the 18th!
  10. Hey Dreamer, The look your Datsun has right now really looks alot like my current S-10. (I know, I know, don't hate on me too much, lol!) My truck was alot of different shades of blue, but it is mostly gray primer now with the base coat white colored shell. Gotta love a solid side snug. My friend and his Dad found mine----cost NADA! Gotta love it when that happens! E
  11. All I can say is wow! The Datsun folks came out in force on Saturday. I never did any counting, but our little corner parking lot was jam packed. We got up to Golden a little late, so we lost the bigger side of the Golden Realty lot. It won't happen again! I started taking pictures, but between dodging the weather, talking to tons of people and all the other stuff going on, I only managed to take a few. Hopefully next month I'll get more. But, here's the few I managed to snap............... Here's the early birds. Mitch is in the middle, Darrel is on the right, and Dave is on the left. Mitch's son Thomas is behind the wheel of Mitch's 720. This is Thomas, Mitch's kid. He is mini-truck krazy already at 10. He talks about getting a 620 Datsun of his own one day. Here's our buddy Darrel, chillin' out in the shade. It was nice to meet you Darrel. Dug your 620! Glad you came out! Here's Dave's '85 720. He just picked it up recently, so he hasn't got a whole lot done yet, but he has big plans. This was the engine in one of the many Z cars that showed up. Things started to get crazy about this time, so I wasn't able to gather much information on the car or who owns it. It was beautiful! This will give you an idea of the number of people that came out. This was early, too. At one point, the lot was so full no more cars could come in, and there was just walking room in between the rides. Here's Mitch's 720, Denveratsun's 521 and Dave's 720 all out in front sealing up the lot. It was good to see you again Denverat. We HAVE to get together and do a mini truck run somewhere--soon, before the snow flies again! Sorry there weren't more pictures. I'll try to take more next time. E
  12. Naw, you don't have to do that. It's just nice to meet people and hang out a while. Either ride is cool. Hope to see you there! E
  13. Me and Mitch will be there early. Also, our friend Dave is bringing his 720 up later this evening. It will be the first Super Cruise for his truck. Wish we could find more people around these parts to hang out with, but mini truckers are scarce around here. E
  14. Wow, it's been a month already. Supercruise time is here again. Anybody else going up tomorrow? We'll be there, same lot, same time, more fun, and more trucks---hopefully..............E
