Alright at least that gives me kind of a basis to go off of. And this was more in general, but pics will be posted if everything falls into place. I will keep y'all in the loop :)

As many of you are aware, I've been looking for the ideal 510 for a few years now. I almost had lost hope when the market dried up. However I didn't, and may have finally pinned down the one. Now, being a 1971 it's not perfect and in need of some TLC. I know this is a total newbie question but can you guys help me out in addressing how and how much money/effort it would be do to repair issues such as the following: -needs headliner -needs carpeting -needs door panels -cracked dash (if repairable?) -carbs rebuilt (crossing my fingers thats all she needs to get running again) -ignition switch I know theres more but I feel I have a good grasp on everything else but these. I'd honestly appreciate any guidance before I decide to go through with it or not :confused:

You know, I searched for so long and then decided I'd occasionally scroll through here. I mean I'm not in as big of a rush but once I saw this bluebird I was hooked. Whether or not we can work a deal is another story, but I'd be willing to give an arm and a leg.

Kinda fell off the market for awhile. I would never swap a car like this though. I completely agree! :)

Well the 240s have been growing on me. And the realization hit that I'm better off waiting for the occasional "already finished" car to come across for sale. Plus it opens my horizon up a little instead of looking for a single car.

Alright, just so everyone knows I jumped ship on that 510 in Norco. The list of issues added up and with the help of some members on here I was able to see through the sellers bs. Which means I'm still on the lookout for a 510 built up already, or a legitly clean one. And I'm sure ill take heat for this, but I'm also interested in the 240s now. So if you know of any of those that are really clean or maybe already built, let me know

Im trying to work something out with that mellow yellow 4dr but we'll see. It's all original, but as i've learned "dont count your chickens before they hatch" especially in the Datsun community. At this point, if this one falls through (always more likely than not), I'm thinking I'll have to put a hold on everything and just wait for a car already built to come up for sale across these forums B)
