  1. yeah those pictures we of the car at jason's house. and yes he has had quite a few 510's that haven't gotten finished lol
  2. You can also see the build thread in the suspension tech section under "a different approach at rear coilovers" and you can see what I added to the car. all I can say is I'm glad it's going to a good guy who I know will do this car up right! and mike... I call first dibs on the first ride after the swap!!! This car is going to be very cool.
  3. No he's not playing yet lol his new little toy car is snuggled up cozy in my trailer for tonight. I'll be delivering it after work, as soon as traffic clears up tomorrow!
  4. I'll sell you a nice set of box flares! $2500!! It includes one 1971 2 door 510, one set of coilovers! One set of ZX brakes! aaaand rear discs hahaha drive it away!
  5. I have a 71 2 door box flared car that I have purchased fairly recently and done a TON of work to, but I might have to make it go away pretty quick. I'm looking to see what you all think it's worth and or if anyone is interested in it. My car still needs a few things tho. I have alot of money and time into it, but it still needs a couple things before it's considered finished. It needs: -a lil body work on the rear quarters and tail light panel -a new exhaust (had 3 quotes around $175-250) -and a good tune on the carb But it has all of the hard work done! Engine & trans: -L20B swap -header -weber 32-36 carb -k&N air cleaner setup -sirocco alum radiator (common 510 swap) -new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, points, condenser, coil, and ballast resistor all in the last month -4 speed close ratio tranny -newer clutch with 2,000 miles on it Suspension & brakes: -280ZX ST conversion -full coilovers -completely custom rear controll arms w/ inboard coilover system -ZX front brakes -DTT rear disc conversion -calipers, rotors, wheel bearings, lines, pads, and hardware is new last month -R200 3.91 ratio bulletproof diff swap -slotted crossmember -brand new ARP race wheel studs -comes with power booster and master conversion but I haven't installed it Other: -New $500 black headliner -custom door cards -custom seat uphostery in black/dark brown -evetything works; heater, lights, wipers, fan, flashers, etc.. -16x9 custom deeeep dish wheels -brand new glass front valance -brand new BRE spook front lip kit -newer very nice black carpet It is all in all a very nice little car. this is by far one of the cleanest ones I've seen recently. It's ALMOST done! I was planning on keeping it and daily driving it and next winter doing an SR20DET swap in it, but I have a chance to buy a C5 Z06 at a steal so I have to liquidate toys rapidly to do so. Personally I was thinking somewhere in the $3200-3400 range for it?? Tell me if I'm crazy. It's a runner and driver!
  6. it's sitting pretty low now lol i have the fiberglass valance on it, and the spook on it now, aswell as ll of the front trim (hood trim is on now) it looks AWESOME! i can't decide if i want to put the front bumper on it yet tho. i guess we will see when we roll it outside and can step back and take a better look. i broke out the plasma cutter this weekend and built a set of rear brake brackets, now we are just waiting on our local baxters to get the 200SX rotors in today so we can throw it all on and hook up the lines! then.... it'll be on the road once again! my boy jason hooked it all up and got me a homie hookup on a B210 power booster and master setup too :) more pics to come!
  7. Good call duke lol yeah 2000lbs springs?? I don't want the thing to ride like a dump truck! But I do want it stiff enough to not let the wheel slam into the body over a bump lol
  8. Oh I see which nut you're talking about! No the sleeve and the strut tube are perfectly level with eachother. It spins on just fine.
  9. Yes lol it will be low lol as soon as some special fabricator gets you all of those nifty shiny parts he's been manufacturing in his spare time!
  10. Quit doing burnouts??? Is this guy serious???
  11. that's the collar for the coilover. the allen bolt pinches it tight rather than another jam collar.
  12. in the mean time, i cranked out the front coilovers. i used the ZX struts to start with. tore them all down, jet washed, and glass bead blasted them. then cut the spring perch off, and smoothed the tube as usual. then i didn't really want to order coilover sleeves, so i used a set i already had and knew i could make work. they were about .020" too small I.D. so i chucked them up in the lathe and bored the centers out to size. worked perfectly! i ordered strut inserts from baxters and they will be here tonight! all test fitted and mocked up. washer tacked in place, ready to finish welding and paint. threw a lil paint on them, finished cleaning and a big DONE stamp lol now as soon as the rear arms are finished i'll start on building the TC rod's and adjustable controll arms. anybody have a set of camber plates laying around they want to sell???
