  1. Oh, I found this little jewel in the rough. A '95 Hardbody.
  2. Finished up the fuel tank finally. Went with red because for some reason I had red paint on hand. I don't remember buying it but it looks okay. It's not perfect but now my fuel tank is the best looking thing about my 620. Ha!

  4. I'm now living in Mississippi, wish I could browse your supply of parts. If you are willing to ship any let me know. For the right price of course. Thanks!!
  5. Progress is extremely slow. After realizing my gas tank was pretty dirty I removed it and am in the process of cleaning up. I've already resealed the inside with POR 15 gas tank sealer, now I'm killing any rust and painting the outside of tank. Pictures soon to come. I decided to clean, treat any rust and paint the gas filler tube while I was at it. Below are some before and after photos.

  7. Two caps to close openings. The goldish plate came with the weber carburetor.
  8. Late with posting pictures, installed my weber carburetor over the summer but didn't do much till a week ago. After a failed attempt at making an egr block plate I decided to go back with the original egr valve. I cleaned it up and painted. Truck will start and run well once again, although it needs a good tune.
  9. I installed my Weber carb. over the summer, never got around to posting the photos. I just put my EGR valve back on after a failed attempt at an egr block plate. I cleaned it up and painted it. Used an oil plug to seal off one opening and tapped some threads in another opening to be able to seal it as well. Turned out pretty good. Starts great but I need to tune it, has a high idle.
  10. Repost from February. Installed my painted header. Reinstalled my intake manifold.
  11. I finally painted my header with high temp. ceramic paint and I'm starting to put everything back on. Decided to replace the original bolts and studs with some InoX stainless studs off of Ebay from Jon's Auto Shack. Once I get this thing running I will probably pull the engine to do a thorough cleaning of it and the engine bay.
  12. Today, I finally removed the original carburetor along with the intake and exhaust manifolds. Next step, clean as much as I can, purchase a header and reinstall everything. New Weber carb.
  13. Finally removed intake and exhaust manifold. Put on an timing chain inspection plate. Anticipating finding a header and installing my weber carburetor. Going to clean everything first though.
  14. I'm in the process of replacing my factory carb. off of my 79' Datsun 620 L20B and want to desmog in the process. I kinda know some of the stuff to remove but being my first time desmogging an engine don't want to remove too much. Can anyone send me a couple of before and after or just after photos of their desmogged engine. I'm replacing the carburetor with a Webber Carb and I plan going with headers...don't know what brand yet. Any tips or links to desmog tutorials would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Painted my grill, Dark Shadow Gray
