  1. Hello all I just got a 520 in pretty good shape. I have some clutch clatter that I can live with until summer. But my wiper arm springs are weak and don't provide good windshield contact. I live in Portland OR and that's a big problem, this time of year. I don't see a way to remove the arm for a new spring or replacement arm? No cap; so there has to be a set screw at the base of the wiper arm to hold it on and to the drive shaft. It must be inside and behind where the spring grabs the base of the wiper arm. But there is a curved engagement bracket in the way. Any idea, if it is indeed there, how to get past it without damaging it? Quote MultiQuote Edit
  2. Wayno, My first post here I just got a 520 in pretty good shape. Nice to know of others, in the Portland Area, that have these machines. I have some clutch clatter that I can live with until summer. But my wiper arm springs are weak and don't provide good windshield contact. I don't see a way to remove them for a new spring or replacement arm? No set screw is visible around the base of the wiper arm, to allow removal from wiper drive shaft. It must be inside and behind where the spring meets the base of the wiper arm. But there is a chromed curved covering in the way. Any idea, if it is indeed there, how to get past it without breaking it? I should make this a post, instead of a reply
