    Z22 conversion help

Ian purchasing a Z22 race motor. What mods are needed to put it in my 74 620 using my 4 speed. The guy also has s set of headers but said he didn't knowvif they would fit because they were for as 510 and clearance around steering might be different?

    help ID engine...

Forgive me for being newbie.... I have a 74 620 with an L 18. guy in wrecking yard has a Datson engine that came out of a 76 pick up. It looks almost identical to my L 18 except it says Nissan on the valve cover. I am trying to figure out how to upload pictures to my posts. What are some easy ways to figure out which engine this is.
  7. Thanks...I have a choice between an L20b and the Z24...
  8. Truck runs fine now... However I find myself torn... If I get a decent offer I would sell it...however that Little kid in me wants to deck it out....If I kept it I for sure want a spare motor for it seeing as how they get harder to find.... thus the threads on new engine... I am really tempted to throw a Z24 in it.
  9. I am looking to possibly do a Z24 conversion.... I was told it would bolt right in but I would have to shave a 1/4" of tranny shaft? Anyone who has done this conversion please fill me in on what it will take..... I have a 4 speed L18 currently in truck thats tired...
  10. I am looking to put 1 of these engines in my 74 620.
  11. I have a 74 620 for sale. It runs good I need some minor electrical work but has been a daily driver for me. When I got it it was lowered and I still have the lowering blocks for it. It has a completely straight body and the mirrors on the door have been shaved already?. The body is primer yellow. The grill and trim are in good shape also. The seats have been converted to bucket seats and all gauges and lights work. The engine runs good but has a lot of miles. As this is an Arizona truck it's whole life there is zero rust. This would be a great mini truck project especially send you don't have to deal with cancer. I live in the greater Phoenix area. $1500
  12. I have a 74 620 and I am looking for an engine for this pick up
  13. I have a 1974 620 with an L 18 what is the easiest swap. I am finding it hard how to locate an L 18 in my area so I am looking for something more common. I am NOT looking how to do a ton of modifications in the swap a few is okay any input is appreciated
  14. I have a 1974 620 pick up with L 18. These engines seem to be hard to find. This I'd ahworktruck not a ratrod project. What engines would be the easiest to swap and more common.
