  1. Buy some epoxy primer it can be used as a sealer or primer. It all depends on how you mix it.I have some Pro form epoxy primer if you mix it 1:1 with the activator it is a epoxy primer. If you mix it 1:1:1/2 thats one part primmer one part activator and 1/2 part urethane reducer is then a epoxy sealer.
  2. I have used Rust Check`s rust converter with pretty good results.I painted the inside and outside of a cast iron pool pump about 5 years ago with this stuff and still looks not bad.Out side looks really good inside flaking off a bit. I did the back half of my 521 frame last year it still looks the same as it did when I sprayed it,and I never even got any paint on it.I plan on doing the hole frame this spring. Here is what I do wire wheel the rusted areas best you can, then spray with the rust converter. It may take two applications all depends on how rusty the area is.Once it is dry it turns to a different colour and is ready for paint no additional primer required..This coating stop the rust(not forever) and gives you a paintable surface.I use all the time now.Check out a can can`t hurt can it.
  3. It is glued.Mine had a rip so I just tore it off then scraped off the leftovers. If you are careful and go slow you probably can get it off in pretty good shape.Mine had the rip in it so it almost come off in decent shape. Good enough to trace a new one from the old one.The hair drier idea might help out,I wouldn't use too much heat or you might stretch the material or something.
  4. I have a set of the VW leather seats out of a wagon, they mount on the sides not the bottom.Had to cut the seat sliders out of the donor car with a air chisel. I am thinking of putting them in my 521 they might be a little high, head too close to roof or maybe it just feels that way and steering wheel seems quiet close .I would also have to weld the sliders in some how since the mount funny.I really like the seat, black leather and they adjust everywhere even the head rest.I payed $50.00 for my set,so $26.00for a set of Audi seats you cant go wrong.
  5. Happy Holidays to Everyone that celebrates the Holidays.Cheers
  6. I have been running one of those CenterForce dual friction clutches with stock throw bearing, for about 5 years now without any problems whatsoever.I am pretty hard on the clutch. Its not in a Z car,but shouldn`t make a difference what car they are in.The clutches are made for specific applications(to your car).I really like these clutches they grip way better than stock and clutch pedal its way easier to push than with stock clutch.I would not use it if it is wore that bad, could blow apart and wreck shit.Just go and buy a new one you should have the cash being a jet mechanic. This is probably not the technical answer you were looking for,but its better than some.Good Luck
  7. I cut the rubber seal to ensurer that the window did not break when I pushed it out, safest way.If you are looking for a window gasket check on E-bay,there is a place that sells them in Taiwan(or over there somewhere). The are way cheaper than the ones being sold in the US.Good luck with your windshield.
  8. Thanks Mike got the tail light lenses today.PM you again
  9. My shifter is loose in the same spot around pin 19,if you get it fixed please post your results.
  10. That floor should not be to hard to fix.Far better than the one I have,at least you still have your rockers. The floor, rocker panels, cab corners and most of the door pillars on booth sides of my 521 were rotted out.Just about all better now, only thing is it takes a bit of time to do.It will all be worth it in the end.Nice truck I like the blue with the white walls.
  11. Cool, very nice rims, they look great on that truck.
  12. LoL. The ad was totally readable, so what if there is a few spelling and punctuation mistakes, big deal. Some of you guys complaining about spelling should become grammar teachers so our youth would learn to spell properly. I`m 38 and can spell some words no problem but other words I have some trouble with. My 15 year old son does all my spell checking which is kind of frustrating. You have to ask your self are we here to talk about spelling or Datsuns? LoL Cheers everyone.
  13. Hi Mike,I don`t know if you got my last pm to you.Anyway I will buy the tail light lenses from you.Since the shipping is $20.00 and you only want $10.00 for the lights.I will give you $20.00 for the lights too so you at least make $20.00 dollars for your self.Thats then $40.00 out the door.If we have a deal let me know, and set me up with a bill.Thank you veryboard,Brad

  14. I think the cab is about 450 pounds probably 4 guys for a safe lift leave the doors on.The box is around 250 pounds two guys no problem grab wheel wells if good and lift.I have mine off right now, going to take cab off as well but have to finish putting in floor and fix a few spots to make cab strong enough for the lift. All as you can get hear in Ontario Canada is a rust bucket if your lucky.Have fun.
