I have upgraded the voltage charging system in my 1968 Roadster to a 1976 620 Pickup system i.e. 620 alternator and 620 voltage regulator. It is charging but the battery goes dead when I shut off the ignition. I tried to go wire to wire equivalent from the 620 to the Roadster. Apparently I haven't got it quite right. The only thing I can think of now is to ask someone that can read the schematics for each and color code what wire on the 620 goes to what wire on the Roadster. Specifically, if you take two black and white wiring charts of each and by using six different colors by felt pen highlight each of the six wires from the 620's voltage regulator to where it would go on the roadster schematic, I then could locate what is not wired correctly a whole lot easier. I'm still trying to locate a schematic for the pickup on the web. If you can help please supply a URL for it. Thanks.
