  1. Yep, it's for a truck. Exactly as Wayno described. I'll pm you, crackerjack69.
  2. Hey, All Looking for the pick up tube for an L20b. I have the pan, just need the appropriate pick up. Any help appreciated.
  3. Hey all, Exactly as the subject line says. Need a L16 521 oil pan and pickup tube. Let me know condition and price if you have 'em. Photos would be awesome too. Thanks!
  4. Hey, Looking for someone in the Portland area that knows a lot about old 520's and 510's. My 520 has a 1600 dropped in it and I've been having trouble finding the right photos and diagrams to know exactly what needs to be connected to where. If you have an afternoon free and feel confident that you can answer a few technical questions, I'm happy to buy you a burger and a beer. PM me to set up a time. I'll post some more pictures soon with specific questions for those able to help from a distance. One thing I need opinions on currently: anyone ever had to extract a bolt from an engine? Looking for the best method to remove a couple of bolts that connect the oil pan that have had the heads come off. I appreciate any help! Thanks
  5. Thanks for all the responses, fellas. i do like the look of the original fuel bowls, but i think i'll go with the disposable for now. i need to do something in line or move the original mounts to the other side of the engine compartment. Dawa, so you're running two fuel filters? that kit looks like it would fit perfect with what i need to do, but is it not enough on it's own?
  6. That's not the one I was thinking of, but italy work better than the original. Do you think it just needs to be cleaned for it to work properly? Thanks
  7. Hey all, Looking for a fuel filter for my '68 520. Preferably one of the original glass ones. Thanks!
  8. That pan came extra, but I will have to remove the cross brace to take the old one off. Looks like it took a hit and was fixed with JB weld. I'm pretty sure the 521's had the 4.375 rear gear, so I'm assuming the 520's did too. Yep, it's a 5 speed. I was able to find an original bench seat in decent shape and even found a windshield locally, though it's a bit fogged at the bottom. Where and when is the meet tomorrow? I have some shit to do later on, but early evening is free.
  9. Here she is... And the oil pan I'm cleaning up...
  10. I'm in the central east side, close in. I'll post some picks as soon as I set up a photobucket or Flickr. Is there not a way to just cut and paste photos? Thanks, fellas!
  11. Ahoy, I recently purchased a '68 520 with a 1600 from a 510 dropped in it. This is my first project truck and the first time in nearly 15 years that I've spun any wrenches. It seems like there are a lot of you based in the Portland area (as am I) and was hoping to meet a few people, get some ideas on how to prioritize my build, and hopefully find the parts I still need. I'll supply the beer and maybe you can provide some insight? Here's what I know and have done thus far: I've replaced the carb with a weber. The engine looks to be in great shape, but I'll have to install a new ignition coil, battery, run some fuel line, new points and condenser, new oil pan and pan gasket, plugs and wires, radiator hoses (i recently had the radiator tested and repaired), needs a new manual choke cable and handle, and fuel filter. So, I'm still a few steps away from firing it up to see. After that, I'll need to run the exhaust (header looks good) and have a drive shaft cut and balanced. Parts that I'm still looking for are the choke cable and handle, fuel filter, lower radiator hose, missing one baby moon hub cap, door panels, shifter boot, possibly new ignition cylinder, and a slew of other stuff I'm probably forgetting at the moment. Let me know if you're interested and I hope to meet some of you soon. Thanks!
  12. Would you come down on the price at all?
  13. Do you have a windshield? If so, how much?
