  1. Sounds like a lot of issues, I’d check your timing, make sure your thermostat isn’t sticking. as for the oil loss could be a number of things ranging from bad rings to a head gasket leak
  2. Got it, picking up a new flasher after work so hopefully it’s a simple fix. then it’s on to a dead socket on one license plate light
  3. So 1 relay for the low beams and another for the high beams ? also how does a relay keep the voltage up vs. just the fuse block
  4. My turn signals work unless my headlights are on, then they don’t. is this a bad flasher or more likely a short in a ground somewhere
  5. Thanks fellas, I’ll give it a go
  6. Any way too make them stronger so the trunk stays open when you want it open
  7. What did the B210 Sedans use for trunk lid support ? Was it a strut like the hatchback
  8. Ok, I replaced the fuse even though it wasn’t visibly burned out.ill be darned they work now and I learned how to remove the knobs 😂 thanks for the reply

    Light issues

So I have headlights but no taillights, dash lights or marker lights. I’ve checked the fuse and it’s good on one end on the fuse panel but dead on the other. I’m assuming it’s a ground issue or maybe a dimmer switch issue. also how in the h)ll do you get the wiper, switch, light swith and dimmer knobs off.. I see no button to release it and my manual doesn’t say anything 😂 I must be a 🤪
  10. 7-$1200 really depends on a lot of things.. Most Datsun are just a niche car and not the type of car collectors want
  11. Thanks... figured might be something like that
  12. on my 5spd i have two electrical plug ins. one is for the backup lights but i have no idea what the other one is for and my manual doesn't show it either. anyone have any idea what its for?
  13. just asking to see if i screwed up.. so the maual says turn the crank key so its pointing straight up and the #1 and #4 piston are at top dead..align the sprockets so the marks are lined up between the camshaft and crankshaft centers. i have the two match marks lined up in between the two shaft centers. the manual shows a pic of the crank turned at 5 o'clock and the cam dowel pin lined up at 3 o'clock with the sprocket match marks not lined up...which one is correct or are they both correct? i have the dizzy installed with the rotor pointing at #1 and both of the #1 valves are closed at top dead center. do i need to reset the sprockets so the dowel mark and the keyway line up at 3 and 5 o'clock or can i leave it as is with the match marks lined up between the shaft centers
  14. pulled the cam and that lobe is dang near round, lifter looked good with no signs of wear any different than the other 7. I suppose that valve must have never been adjusted correctly.. I cant seem to find a new cam for it so I guess ill have to send it off for a weld and regrind I appreciate the comments.. help me sort stuff out in my pee sized brain
