  2. PART 2 of the previous video we made of the metal shaping that went into the Datsun 510 2 Door Full Rear Quarters up now on our Facebook page Link below https://www.facebook.com/pages/Automotive-Panel-Craft/271953309572501
  3. NEW DATSUN 510 2 DOOR FULL REAR QUARTERS IN THE MAKING! Check out our Facebook for a short video on the metal shaping going into it https://www.facebook.com/pages/Automotive-Panel-Craft/271953309572501?ref=hl Also a few pics of part of the process as well down below. [/url]
  4. Working on a website and hope to have it running soon but for the moment we have an eBay store and FaceBook. Our Panels are hand crafted, you can see some of the panel work I do in the link below and some of the process that goes into making these panels -http://community.ratsun.net/topic/62893-datsun-metal-shaping-automotive-panel-craft/ I am going to try update it soon with some more panels. I'll put up some pictures of the tooling asap, just have to get some pics first. KELMO - The front guards we can buy in; they range from $73.00AU to around $120.00AU. I have a 1200 coupe over here same as your one. Always looking for the challenge to recreate rusty old panels.
  5. This was another requested panel for a 2 Door Coupe 120y/B210 Datsun(they're pretty rare over here). This is the car it is for. This is the front Valance we had to replicate. Test fitted to match the original. Inside look of the final product and various shots. Comparison old and new.
  6. Do you have a picture of your 1200 coupe? If its the same as the ones here in Australia, we have stamped ones available.
  7. The door pillar was sent in by a customer whose restoring his roadster and we will be making some more custom panels for his roadster over the next couple of weeks. I'll get back to you on the fenders ASAP. The sunny your talking about is it a PB110 Coupe or a B310?
  8. Though I'd start a thread of Datsun Reproduction Panels that we make available. As we continue to increase our range I though it would be a good idea to let you guys know whats now available as we get requests from people to make a custom panel for every type of Datsun. Thought I'd put up some of the panels that are currently not available that we have had requests for and have made. Just so you know whats out there and available for Datsuns. Every time we get a new request for a panel we will post it up on completion of making the panel. Heres our latest job. We were given this panel to replicate. Its a door pillar panel from a Datsun Roadster. The original panel had several bad repairs and had looked like it had been in an accident but we were able to replicate a new panel to original specifications.
  9. Just some more art we thought you guys might like. We thought we might have a go at making a Datsun 510 on steel.
  10. A litte bit of artwork. Should we airbrush it or leave it as it is?
  11. So after taking off the stone tray for repairs some unexpected rust was found. We took a pattern and fabricated the Lower Inner Radiator Support and the Lower Radiator Support
  12. Time for the customer to install. Rear Quarter is removed and ready for the new panel to be welded on. Customer has the panel in place and welded on. The rust repair has been completed. Time to paint and finish off the restoration. Here's the car as it started out. And now here's the picture of it fully restored to its former glory. Thanks for following this restoration. Leave us your thoughts and tell us what other Datsun's you'd like to see the metal shaping on.
  13. Yeah, no worries. Shoot us an email and I can do a better price and discount shipping if your interested.
  14. After shrinking down the wheel arch its time to clean up with a bit of planishing. Now we shape the return under the Rear Quarter. Completed and on the car and ready to paint. Now it has been painted. Its ready to be sent to the customer. Next update will be the customer installing the panel and the final finish.
  15. This is a picture of it cut out and ready to start work on the english wheel. After several hours of intense shaping in the english wheel, our flat piece of steel has started to take shape and is matched up against the original. This happens several times during the English Wheel process. After the English Wheeling is done, its time to start on the wheel arch. The Wheel Arch is beaten out with a blocking hammer. Wheel Arch has been shrunken down then run through the bead roller to sharpen up the edge. It also goes through the shrinker to pull the flange back down.
