  1. Used a universal hurst one before it got parked, it fell apart after a month. The original part isn’t available, even on the Datsun parts site. The 4x4 shift lever boot is available though!!
  2. What’s everyone using to replace the OEM, trucks currently a blast furnace from the wonderful hole around the shifter.
  3. I'll grab some spicer's and put them in at the shop, hopefully that solves that side of the issue and I can start working on the front end. Thanks.
  4. Finally getting the 720 back on the road after about 4 years. Reason it was parked was, amongst other things, due to a loud clunking sound at random from the drive train. When I would be in gear and and cruising at normal rpm's something would start banging and clunking like crazy underneath the truck, I would press in the clutch and the noise would go away. It also jumps if I try to give it too much power on takeoff and you can feel/hear a lurch and clunk. My first opinion would be the driveshaft, however I'd like to know if anyone else here has run into a similar issue. On another note, at about 1800-1900 rpm when it's running there's a bit of clattering from the motor, it goes away as the rpms rise. Are the timing chain tensioner's a common issue on the Z24's, wondering if those could be making the noise.
  5. Dad bought this truck brand new. It became my first vehicle it has currently takin to waiting as I am focusing on my Bronco project. Has never failed to start and is in pretty darn good shape for being an 83. 130k original miles. Plans are either a rebuilt mild z24, or a ka24de, long travel, general restoration. Figured I would share it with you guys. Thanks for looking. Most of these are older pics but still as she sits, only difference is lower front valance is now black and front bumper has been resprayed. She will start to be a daily driver again soon, need a new driveshaft and a major overhaul of the front suspension. Sorry for the bad res pics. This is about 8 years ago when I first started driving her. Had different wheels and some cheap fogs on it. Some more random pics Heres when i thought tires grew on trees, In case anyone is interested here is my Bronco project, I like 4x4's and the wife and I found this minty 84 Bronco that we couldn't turn down. (Already had to use the nissan to jumpstart it, twice haha) Also has 130k miles. Thanks again for looking guys.
