  1. How does a ford 8.8, 3.73 gears w/ LSD sound. Will this work for my application. And since the Center section is offset to the passenger side, I can narrow it appropriately to have it centered.
  2. OK. Well I was only able to locate a h233 with disc and locker. No LSD. 300.00 bucks. I guess it is in by best interest to keep looking.
  3. OK...cool. Thanks alot. Now the search begins.
  4. OK..when you say the d21 is easier to convert.. I don't understand. I will be doing a triangulated 3 link in the rear of the 620. I just need a rear that will hold up to the sr20det. A LSD, and disc brakes will also be required. I will have to narrow the rear to accommodate the size of rims I want. I assume I can just narrow the pathy rear, get custom axles, weld on my link tabs and be good to go. I am new to all of this, so I really want to make sure I have a solid rear, stopping power, and proper ratio so I can get all the power out of the sr
  5. Thanks for the reply. I have taken this route into consideration. I will also save a few bucks as well. I was opposed to having 6 lug, but I can manage. Now for a few details. I am looking for a pathy rear? What would an ideal gear ratio be having the sr20det as my powerplant. I see some for sale that say disc brakes, non locking, MT...is this what I'm looking for
  6. OK..starting my 620 build. I have the tools, I have the workspace. Got the money, now I need the help. I am building a sr20det swapped, triangulated 3 linked, bagged, with a custom built front suspension. I have ordered all the metal for the new frame. I want to mate the tranny to a ford 9" rear. I need to know what length rear, and all the little details to make this work. Not too concerned with third member specs but will take input. I want to fit some bigger wheels. I'm guessing 18's, maybe 8-9" wide. So should I get a rear that is 40". That opens the door for a wide wheel range. The details i also need are in bolt pattern, spline, pinion offset.... Please refrain from criticism. I want and need the help. No better place than this forum. All help will be recognized.
  7. Lol. That's why I'm now starting this build. Gotta get it done before the wife wants a child... lol
  8. Not quite. I don't think I want bags. I want the air struts. The f.b.s.s.digital system. With a setup like that, say I blow a line, a broken valve, or something else fails, I can unbolt the air struts and drop in a set of coilovers. Or, if I have an itch to push the truck on an scca track, drop my coils in n go. I want IRS. I want to swap an rb in, and have the skyline rear diff as well. I'm going for a hybrid if some sort. I want the ability to have the air struts in, and lay out the frame, and be able to swap coils in and race it around. And the IRS will have a wicked cambered stance at the shows.
  9. OK. Hello community. I will be finally starting my dream build. I have a 76 620 kc. My goal is to have a sfbd, bagged*, rb swapped, monster. I'm looking for show and go. I have done a lot of research, and I'm stuck. I would love to lay frame with this truck. Is it possible to lay it out if I put a subframe in the rear. I'm having a hard time picturing this. I wanted to put a subframe and install air suspension to drop it and have the ability to install coil overs if I choose. I was kind of looking to have the best of both worlds but I don't think its possible. I am open to suggestions on what I should do with this build. Critisism isn't going to help. I am new to the Minitruck build. I am not completely oblivious to the way things work, and I am in school for motor sports technology and welding and fabrication. So I know I can do this build with the help of this forum and my friends. If anyone has some good starting points, blueprint, drawings, pics, anything so I can start, I would appreciate it. Thanks
  10. Looking to start my 620 build. This is my dream truck. I'm am in serious need of parts. Specifically front fenders. Thanks.
  11. Help. I need fenders for my 620!!!
