#1434702 LZ23 piston valve relief question

Posted by budsaipan on 14 November 2016 - 12:55 PM

So stock springs should work? Whats the clearance for piston to valve that would be considered safe. Also should I bother checking again for any valve damage since I did rotate the cam while the piston was at TDC?

True. So I should paint til they press in the bushings before paint and I think I might check out the poly ones.

I'm residing in Kansas City but my home is back in the islands.

#308254 720 power steering on a 620

Posted by budsaipan on 28 May 2010 - 07:53 AM

Mine came out of a 280zx but I guess the really earlier ones. You're right, majority of them had rack and pinion. Heres a thought, have you tried Rack and pinion from the z?

720 or hardbody steering box will NOT bolt in a 620 chassis. The box is outside of the chassis whereas the 620 are inside.

Datzenmike,

Isn't your truck using a 720 chassis with 620 body? Might want to clarify this since the post seems a bit misleading on
the gearbox parts.
