  8. I have 2 Datsun 521 pickup trucks for sale. The brown one is a 1970 and the white one is a 1972. I am selling them as a pair only. Here is the list of new parts on the 1970. NEW battery, starter, water pump, master cylinder, alternator, coil, dist cap, points, rotor, ballast resistor, spark plugs, head gasket, valve seats, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, plug wires, radiator hoses, heater hoses, fan belt, thermostat, Kumho tires, back window rubber, Weber carb rebuilt, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, re-surfaced all 4 brake drums, headlight wire repaired, choke repired, tail lights re-wired, backup lights re-wired, tag light re-wired, underbody coating sprayed into fenderwells, radiator flushed, transmission fluid changed, differential fluid changed, brake fluid flushed, clutch fluid flushed, oil changed, horn fixed, manual choke on dash works. The doors lock and the key works both doors. Wipers work, everything works except for the temp guage. The white truck has one that works I just haven't changed it yet. The truck is lowered about 3 inches but is easily raised back up to stock height. These trucks were for my son but we decided to get him a fullsize truck after a drunk driver wrecked into our cars and house recently. All the work done on the truck was completed at my work by Nissan/Infiniti technicians. Call Dan at 704-654-0081 $1300 obo for both. I live near Charlotte NC
  9. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1247775378.html I have a 1970 and 1972 521 for sale as a pair. I can email pics if you are interested. Thanks for looking, Dan.
  10. On my son's 1970 521 this last week we got a lot of work done. Here is the list. Sorry I don't have pics. I will try to take some next week. New brake shoes and wheel cylinders all around, cleaned and lubed the adjusters, all new brake hoses, drums turned and they are good to go. Dismantled and cleaned the Weber carb, no rebuild kit was used as we were able to save the gasket. Fixed the rotten wire at the fuse block as that was the reason the headlights weren't working. Removed the oil pan and hammered the lip to straighten it and fix the oil leak. Blew off the entire underside of the truck and cleaned the 20 lbs of rust, mud and crud off. Coated each fenderwell with truck bed coating we got at Advance Auto, it comes in spray cans. Stripped the white paint off the hubcaps and cleaned them up. Set the timing and adjusted the carb. As soon as UPS brings the new taillights I bought off Ebay we will get those in. The next big job will be replacing the Flintstone floor.
  11. Thank you guys so much. Although I am new to this site I am very familiar with forums like this. I used to hang out on Thesamba.com which for those who don't know is the best aircooled VW site on the net. Lots of cool people and helpful info. Just like I am finding here! I lowered my first mini in 1985 so I guess you could say I am old school. My first truck was an 86 720 I bought brand new in 85 and had it lowered before the first week was up! Anyway I look forward to making new friends around here.
