  1. Howdy, This car is officially for sale... I'll try to get an official post over in the 'for sale' section by this weekend. Essentially, the car looks exactly the same, but now has Recaros and one of those fancy jdm center consoles with the clock in it (found it on ebay in Thailand). There is no carpet, accept over the tunnel. Reason for sale: I have too many cars and I'd like to thin the herd a little bit. Also, car is filthy at the moment, and needs a good bath and cleanup (which I plan to do). I have no idea what to ask for the car. Best thing to do is to text with questions and/or offers. 2. Hi guys, Here's a nice looking coupe that popped up on BAT. I'm sure many of you have already seen it... http://bringatrailer...71-datsun-1200/ No affiliation with the seller. Ian
  3. They're Diamond Racing 15X8j-0 IIRC -0 offset is the same as 4" backspace. Tires are Falken 195/50/15. I had to roll the rear fenders somewhat aggressively to clear...and over large bumps at speed they still rub when I'm alone. I'm 5'11" and 180lbs. With 2 people in the car the rubbing is a little more frequent...but not bad. The front is another story altogether. The car has the Frankenstein Sentra/240SX big brake setup, which moved the front wheel outward about 3/8". I cut the fenders, and massaged the rear fender well to clear. Still needs a little more massaging. Ian
  4. Thanks guys. :) It was really hard for me to drill those holes. Looks good though (even though the flares haven't been properly fitted). Ian
  5. Hi All, My name is Ian, and I am the owner of this car. I've been encouraged to join the forum by a couple local PDX members...so here goes! It's been a long time since I've owned a Datsun (last car was a '70 510 wagon, that I completely rebuilt in '99). Glad to be back in the fold...I've wanted a 1200 coupe for a long, long time. I was trying to get the car on the road for last weekend's Blue Lake meet, but was having a couple small problems. All fixed now!! I've been driving the car for the past 2-3 days; here's a couple pics as it sits today :)
