  1. Hey all. I dug around some, and want to confirm I have the correct info. What I have: '72 510, floor shift automatic l16 engine. Going in: L20B engine from 1980 720 P/U. Currently mated to a 4 speed manual. What I wish to do: mate my 3 speed auto, to the L20B with correct flex plate and torque converter set up. Theory In my head that I'm hoping you can either verify, or tell me where I'm wrong so I don't pull apart a perfectly good running car and have it sit for weeks while I'm trying to get facts straight: I SHOULD have a JATCO 3N71B transmission (post 71 car, floor shift) The L16 uses a 5 bolt Flex plate that will not work on the L20B. But the 3N71B torque converter should bolt to a 6 bolt L20B flex plate. There for I need a flex plate and the two 6 bolt spacers (pilot-converter plate, and crank to converter plate) off ANY? Auto L20B??? My L20B+sourced L20B flex plate and 2 plate/spacers+ my L16 torque converter+my L16 JATCO 3N71B = success? Thank you so much in advance!
  2. L20B, U67 head and unknown 5 speed mated together. Pulled from a running 521. Needs carb and fuel pump. A good cleaning too. But runs none the less. Puyallup,WA. $300 253 326 6355

  7. Looking for bare (or not) factory unmodified front strut/spindles for a 510. The less they include, more blown the inserts are, and cheaper they are, the better! Text or pm! 253 326 6355 Thanks guys! Casey
  8. Both sides are slow, always have been. I've been through 2 alternators in tha past couple years same problem. I just need to upgrade I guess.
  9. Removed blinker housing and gave it a quick scuff with some steel wool, tightened up snug and noticed the bulb was much brighter. Dash light turned off, and now the blinker works- extremely slow. Ill clean the ground better tomorrow, as well as all the other grounds on the car. Maybe I can fix my slow blinkers for good! Thanks for the help!
  10. Thanks mike, ill check that next. Does my dash light for my driver side blinker always remaining on when my running lights are on indicate anything to you? Forgot to add, all four lights flash as should when hazard switch is on.
  11. 1972 510, 4 door Original L16/ 3 speed auto, matchbox dizzy, electric choke removed (other than that, all electrical is intact and unmolested) Car has been at the above state for a good period of time, I haven't changed anything recently to bring about this problem. The story: The car has always had slow blinkers, I've learned to deal with it. On the way to work one morning about 2 weeks ago, I noticed my driver side blinker to be non-functional. When I signal left, the dash light (blinker, left) would illuminate, but stay solid until I turned the signal off. Didn't troubleshoot for a week. A week after noticing this, my left blinker dash light started to always be dimly lit up if my running or headlights were on. It would light up brighter when I signal left, but still would not "blink." I've noticed that my driver side running light lit up much dimmer than the passenger. (Fronts) even when I switched the two bulbs. What I've done so far- Searched for similar instances, no luck. Switched right and left blinker bulbs (front & rear) Checked fuses, cleaned contact points. Switched blinker fuse with known good fuse. Wiggled/snugged up battery ground. Tapped on relays and voltage regulator. Toggled the living hell out of my blinker switch. Any ideas? Where might I find some wiring grounds that might have something to do with my front running/blinker lights and/or blinker switch? Thanks in advance, I'm going to go swap out a voltage reg. not sure if it might have any relevance but its a quick guess and check. Casey.
  12. I'll check on specific offsets/ tire size as soon s I can get to my storage unit.
  13. Unsure on the offset off the top of my head. 0ish? The tires are not small by any means, but this picture does exaggerate a bit on their size.
