  1. Yes, i have been fairly quiet. I love most things and people on this forum. I have learnt lots, but have known that fitment is key for years.
  2. Sunk wheels are for the faint of heart. Only real men challenge fitment. Dial in some driveable camber, stretch those tires, and smash some hammer-clearance. Anyone telling you not to is just too much of a pussy.
  3. I understand they are already proportioned, but the bmc only has a nipple for front and rear, no? so a splitter is still needed, which i have been lead to believe is all that the 510s "Prop valve" actually is.. Anyways, i guess ill plumb it up again and hopefully have no bias issues. thanks
  4. EDIT: Just found my answer.. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/38916-proportioning-on-510-with-zx-frot-brake-and-240sx-rear/ Hey. Recently did zx brakes up front, plan on doing the maxima disc or similar in the rear. Currently looking into getting a 79 zx Brake master and was wondering if i should keep the stock 510 "Proportioning Valve". I have heard here and there that it is simply just a splitter. Should i be using something different? or an aftermarket prop valve? thoughts? thanks.
  5. Hey guys, looking to drop the sr in my 510 soon. I am on the fence about going Top mount vs. Bottom mount manifold. Bottom mounts can be a pain to change out gaskets, do anything with exhaust, and have heard there are fitment issues in a 510. Wondering if anyone has purchased Cx Racing's Top mount kit, and what they think of it. Comes with elbow and downpipe "built for a 510" Might be cheaper to just buy manifold and piece together downpipe. Thoughts?
  6. traced to no injector signal from ecu, swapped ecu with another one and it fired right up.. thanks for the help
  7. not sure i understand what your asking?
  8. 70' 510 with ka24e swap wont run. Getting fuel to the injectors but plugs are dry. #10 ecu is throwing codes #23 and #45. Throttle valve switch and leaky injector. I tested throttle valve switch for voltage at the switch and ecu, getting nothing. Not sure what i am missing or if ecu is fried. If anyone has any suggestions or information, it would be helpful. Thanks
  9. Pics or it didnt happen, clearly your definition of a stretch is more subtle then mine.
  10. i disagree, if you have a look at the "section width" it states the width sidewall to sidewall of the tire mounted on appropriate rim, which is 7" for a 175/55. This being said, it sits flush with a 7" wide rim. A 165 or 155 would be considered an actual stretch..
  11. 155/55/14s are made by federal, nankang, and kumho, and couple others, but hard to get in to north america apparently.. All list on there websites and such. 175 = 7" wide, so its not really considered a stretch, mind you different brands sit wider or thinner then they are said to.. I will continue my search, thanks for the input
  12. I have been through 10 240s now, and they are a great, cheap platform. Thanks to the drift scene, rice has been replaced with slightly more tasteful, Japanese inspired flavors.
  13. Having trouble finding anything this small for a 7j stretch.. a handful of companys make this size and slightly larger sizes, but theres not many made i suppose. Can anyone point me in the right direction? or post pics of 155s on a 7j to keep me occupied? lol
