  1. I'm pretty interested in this thing. I'll contact you in about a week if you still have it. Thanks.
  2. As the title states I'm looking for a pre-1975 Datsun 610 Sedan or Coupe. I have about $2500 to spend on the car so I'm not asking for a show car, but I expect the car to be running and in decent condition exterior/interior-wise. I can be reached through PM, email at j2gr.Rodriguez@gmail.com, or through call/text at (916)-753-8718. Please leave a message if I don't answer. Any leads are greatly appreciated as well. Thanks.
  3. Thanks for all the tips. I'll check the fuel lines and then lower the jets with the screw tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
  4. Okay, so I'm in the process of trying to get my friends 260Z running on early 240Z domed/round top carbs. We switched over the entire intake system(Manifold, Carbs, etc) from the 240Z. We also swapped the fuel rail from the 240Z over and removed the emission box(right before the fuel rail). We plugged all the unused ports on the intake and tried firing up the car... No dice. Added damper oil to the carbs... still no start. Finally we tried pulling the chokes up manually and the car fired up. The only issue now is that the car will only run with the chokes pulled and dies out as soon as they are released. Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. Thanks a lot everyone. I'll pass the info along. I'm actually not sure what carbs it has, didn't really pay attention, but if I remember correctly they were most likely SUs. I'll check for sure once I see the car again later today.
  6. Okay, so I just went with my good friend to help him buy a 1974(1/2) 260Z, and I gave the car a good look over and test drive before giving my blessings for him to get the car. The car is in fairly decent condition and was posted for a good price so he made the buy. The car had rust in the usual spots, but it was mainly surface rust besides the battery tray area. It starts and runs under it's own power, but had slight hesitation under full throttle. The differential housing also seemed to be covered in old dried up oil, but the brakes are the current main concern as the peddle went straight to the floor without any resistance and produced basically no stopping force. I've already advised him to buy a new brake master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder, would there be anything else worth looking into besides the basic maintenance items(Fluids, Manual, Seafoam)? He will be towing the car home later on today and I'll be able to get a more detailed account for it's condition at that time. In the meantime I'd appreciate any advice/insight into the things to look for and what not. Thanks.
