  1. Thanks man! Appreciate it :)
  2. Another Q. If I was to swap to a different strut/brake setup, what would you all recommend?? I see a lot of guys here running 280zx, what is the benefit? Are there any better units that maintain close to stock front track width? Or am I going to have to run more positive offset wheels, etc?
  3. Wow! Thanks very much for that!! Sadly, mine are just single piston calipers, but now I know what to look for! Cheers!! ;)
  4. Does anyone know where to buy the US style red/clear tail light lenses (preferably new)? I currently have the "euro" (Aussie) lenses but I'm not a fan of orange and both are cracked anyway. Actually I'd be keen on a set of clear front indicator lenses too if anyone's got any leads? Cheers peoples!
  5. Love that show! I remember that episode, and yes it was a Honey Bee. Suprised the car didn't twist in half with a VQ up front! :w00t:
  6. Was just wondering if there was a relatively simple (and inexpensive) front brake upgrade for a 510 with 240K struts? I see plenty of info on other types, but I don't really know if mine differ much? I dont think I've even seen anything mentioned about 240K's here - did North America not get them? I probably don't need anything huge as it will only be a street driven goon with a slightly warmed L20B. Any thoughts?
  7. Wow!! Thats what I paid for my slightly butchered, rusty-ass wagon 3 years ago! Good find!!
  8. Sorry! My bad! Posted this when I was dog-tired and didn't notice
  9. Hi, I am from Perth, Western Australia but am more than willing to pay postage from the US (or wherever) for the below chrome/stainless trim pieces which are proving near impossible to find over here. :hmm: I'm not in a big hurry as I am nowhere near the reassembly stage yet, but my goon will never really be complete without them! :crying: There are two bits I'm missing as highlighted in green and red below: Shoot me a PM if you have any for sale or can point me in the right direction, and I'll love you forever!!  Thanks! :D

    GOONS check in

Hehehe! Where you from? Yeah, a big drop is certainly on the cards after the bodywork and engine/gearbox is sorted. ;)

    GOONS check in

Really?? :geek: Are you in the US? I thought you guys had heaps of them over there! They're very rare over here..... and you took one away from us?? :crying: :crying:

    GOONS check in

Hi from Perth Western Australia! Thought I'd better 'check in' before I go asking all sorts of nu-b questions  I actually signed up about 4 years ago before I bought my goon, but I've been a bit of a freeloader up until now  So here's my project: Its a '71 Aussie 1600 and the above pics are from the day I bought it about 3 years ago. It drove ok (except for a stuffed dogleg box) and I've kept it registered, but sadly, not much has happened since then besides me stripping it to a near bare shell (bought a house, had two kids.... the usual). It has a bit of rust and a bit more bog (bondo?), a tired L18 with an A87 head and Weber downdraught, and a welded rear end, but I think the time has come to get things moving again. It won't happen fast (lack of funds  ), but I'll get there with a little Ratsun inspiration!! :D Over the last 3 years I've also happened to acquire some other bits: 2 L20B's (one early with an A87 head, rear sump, twin SU's and unknown internals, and another from a later Bluebird stock standard with very low km's), an unknown 4 speed box which came from another 1600, another short dogleg 5 speed, plus another longer mystery box that I haven't really had a look at yet, plus another set of twin SU's on their own. Hopefully I can put together a decent combination out of all this!
  13. Do you still have both headlight surrounds, and possibly the chrome strip that goes along the bottom of the RH rear side glass of a wagon?? Would you be willing to send to postcode 6057 Western Australia? Yes, I'm THAT desperate! :D How much? Can pay by PayPal.
