  1. Thanks again, it looks like the ground was the problem. I did chedk the voltages 13.8-14.2 and dropped about 1 volt with headlights, heater, and brakes on. Will
  2. Thank you for the replys. I am digging into the grounds now. Any obscure ones I might miss?
  3. Thanks for the reply. All connections are clean and tight, and all wiring is stock. There are a few things that are not connected, the heater relay, the bcdd, raido, 10 mph switch. This is how the truck was when I bought it 4 or 5 years ago. I replaced the alt.,regulator, battery and cables 3 months ago, the fuse box was cleaned a month or so ago with and has all new fuses. I will check the alt. output as you suggest and post the results. Thanks again, Will
  4. Driving home the other night I noticed the headlights were getting dim and when I stepped on the brakes and all the lights went out. Taking my foot off the brakes the lights returned but no turn signals or brake lights. The fuse for brake lights had blown (exploded). I started checking things out I couldn't find a short anywhere, replaced the fuse and there didn't seem to be a problem, untill I went for a drive and it blew the fuse again. While the fuse is blown the engine runs really bad. Got home looked for a short again, nothing. Replaced the fuse again, now whenever I use my heater or windshield wipers, both of the turn indicator lights light up. Any ideas?
