  1. Well I dunno about everyone else, but Hainz just convinced me to throw them on my motor. LOL probably will throw them on friday, and post some oics of the results. Thank you everyone for your input on this, it helped out alot.

  3. I saw that, but he didnt tell me if his engine was stock or not. Im not looking to modify mine, i wanna run ot stock, the milage doesnt bother me cuz i just drive it less than 5milesi a day for work, and dont go out much due to my baby.
  4. This is some great info. But i guess my real question is, is it worth having this set up if im juat going to use them as a Stock daily driver set up and not a race/track. If i dont build my engine should i just keep the 32/36 ans sell these? I would really like to run these. The electric fuel pump and regulator dont bother me. But as far as a port bore, high compression build does, as i dont want to spend a lot of money to run these.

  6. Ok, so first things first. I need some info making my L20 compatible with duel weber 40doce's. I've looked and searched the forum but have not found and answer, and I know some people are tired of hearing about it. Point is I tried and came up empty. So now I'm calling on the forum to help me out. Ok so I picked these up from a guy on craigslist for 300 bucks (pretty good deal for a complete set up with linkage, I think) the carbs look to be in good condition, and everything looks to be in order, I also got the intake manifold with it, I believe its an s-type cannon manifold. The guy said he had no use for them and wanted them to go to a good home, and they did :) So my question is (I know its been asked but didn't find an answer) what exactly do I have to do to hook these up to my L20 engine? I'm currently running a weber 32/36 which I love but I've always liked the way the side drafts looked/sound. Do I have to do anything special to my engine? I'm not going to be racing/track I just want them for my daily driver. If I have to do a lot of mods to my engine, then i'm just going to get rid of them and keep my 32/36. Any help to clear this up for me would be awesome, i'm new to the side draft chapter, and just need to know the basic set up info. thanks for taking the time to look and give me some help.
  7. where i can pick up one of the little plastic thingy's. got way to excited installing my solex locks than i accedently broke the plastic thingy into a million pieces :bye: so know i can only open one side. I'm kicking myself in the buns. Is this something i can pick up at an autozone or other auto parts store? Thank in advance for any help.

  9. I don;t have a z, ive got a 521, with an L20b and a 5 speed tranny, newer diff, i'm not exactly sure which tranny or diff. Any way i can check so i know for future referance and jus so i know lol.
  10. good to know. I'll make sure to pick some up for my next oil change. :) sorry for the newbish questions, i don't know much about the oil specs, zincs n stuff. i jus want the best for my engine lol but don't we all lol
  11. So it is safe to use, even though this has the low zinc rate? is it possible to add zinc to help it?
  12. thanks mike, you're always a huge help. n you're right, i don't think its been changed, so i'm in a hurry to get it changed. this is for my 521 btw. i have two small leaks, i already found one that is coming from my oil pain, it looks like its the gasket, which im going to replace asap. and the second leak is coming from about the middle of the tranny, where the drain plug is at from what i could see, i'm not 100%, it started to rain today so that stopped me from doing anything. Ill make sure to only buy GL4, or anything yellow metal safe, i know kids at autozone always try to get me to buy other crap thats not good for my truck. I've been meaning to ask you, you had mentioned to me in another thread to use delo 15w-30 i think it was, i noticed we use that oil in our diasels at work, and it says diasels use. Is it safe to use that oil in my l20b?
