  1. No pictures as of now. I'm about 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia.
  2. I'm located on the East coast. Its a four door 510, 4 speed, said to be a 1973. I'm not sure if there is any fram damage. I will find out once I see it in person.
  3. I believe its a 1973. Upgraded suspension (springs and struts, no coilovers). The interior dash is solid, but the car does not have carpet. Exterior is in good condition besides the front body damage. Will post pictures once I see the car in person. It is in running condition, but there is a oil leak. I would like to know the average price of a running 510, in good/fair condition.
  4. Hey gg, thanks for the reply. The front body damage consists of a busted headlight, grille, side fender, and possibly the radiator. No doubt, it will have to go to a body shop. Seeing you have over 9k posts, and is a Datsun mechanic, what is a reasonable price for a 510, 4 door? I believe its a 1600, 4 speed. Im guessing the body work will roughly cost $800-1000.
  5. I have an opportunity to purchase a datsun 510, 4 door. I'm not familiar with Datsuns/Nissans (past six cars have been Vws) but I have been researching about different engines, transmissions, and performance parts that associate with 510s. I think it would be a cool project or daily to drive around in. My question is what general problems come up on a 510, and should be looked at before purchase of vechicle? I have been told there is minimal rust, an oil leak, front body damage, and no seats. As for the suspension, there have been new parts installed with less than 5k on them. I would think being a 40 year car, rust would be the biggest concern. Any response will help my decision. I am excited for this car, then again, I don't want to make a poor decision. Thanks
