  1. Seent in Portland. Someone save it! I already have too many buckets and not enough time or money.
  2. So the train horns are the Flatlaw kit from Hornblasters. Its a lot of fun. I dont know if I ever posted it in here before, but my regular horn is from a Roadrunner, the classic meep meep horn. I added an air hose to the tank so I can use it for on board air if needed. I also got these etched windows I will install at some point. Its been so hectic lately and I cant keep up with everything life is throwing at me. One day we will get there. Also, I got a Futofab adjustable upper alternator bracket like 8 years ago that I never installed. Went to use it with this alt swap and it was about 1/4" too long.
  3. Well, I had a turd of a morning the other day. Went to go to work and my Escalade had a flat. No problem, Ill take the Datsun. I get 10 min away from the house and the lights start going dim for a few seconds, then theyd come back. So I turned around and went home to grab my 98 Chevy. Anyway I started reading up on the internally regulated alt swaps, and it seemed easy enough. Tested voltage before the swap and it was all over the place. So I did the swap as I had a 720 alt laying around. Tested steady after the swap and everything works just a little better. The compressor for my train horns fills up much faster than it used to. Wish I wouldve done this swap a long time ago.
  4. Funny you mention Affordable Classics. That used to be Kellum Datsun back in the day. Also for those who might be interested in that 510 at Lot 99, that dealer is the worst in Oregon, possibly the whole PNW. Avoid at all costs.
  5. Time Left: 13 hours and 41 minutes

  6. Seent in rural clackamas county.
  7. It was only $400 including shipping. Pretty reasonable for the time that goes into it as its all done by hand. They even sent me a video of it while a guy was engraving it. Krazy Kutting down in Arizona did it.
  8. Finally got my account recovered after 5 years thanks to Skib. Have a meme.
  9. Figured I should update after 5 years. I still have it. Added moar loar, high volume oil pump, koyorad radiator, port matched offenhauser intake, and lots of other goodies. Sent my valve cover to a lowrider shop to be done up. Abarth steering wheel blah blah blah. I love this truck. I got to take it to Harold before he passed. He was the guy who gave it to me. He was stoked to see it running again and asked me give her the beans when I drove off so he could hear it. I asked him for a picture with the truck and he said that it was an odd request lol.
  10. Good lookin out..will go look for one as well. My L16 knocks slightly until it gets oil pressure for those first miliseconds during cold start.
  11. I always run castrol gtx 10-40. Not synthetic. I guess I will switch to the delo 400. Makes sense
  12. I had one that was already cut and was able to fit an alpine deck nicely, but issue was there was no good place for speakers. I didnt have any engine noises coming through the speakers...my current truck I just went with a delete plate instead of messing around with a radio.
