thanks guys! ive been having too much fun driving this damn thing. haha the entire time i tested the switch , was with it unscrewed from the pedal assembly, so i definitely think theres a short on the turn signal side. .. will do further investigating today or tomorrow. ... on top of buffing it out and lowering it ^-^ ( priorities first of course) . i will reply with my findings just in case its an unusual repair!

sorry guys! i couldnt remember my password to log in on my phone, and of course getting the car running was way more important :) good news is its road worthy!! bad news is the brake lights are not hooked up properly. if its wired to 12v then i think im dealing with a short. one side of the switch has 12 volts, and when the switch is released it kills the power to that one side. naturally youd say faulty switch right?. ran a jumper wire instead and it does the same thing! ... soo confusing, all the wires under the dash are hooked up correctly, and none have been chewed on.. any ideas as to where to look? well as an F.Y.I., if you ever need brake lights to get home, you can do what still twisted did to my car, ^-^ jump the wiring from the four way flashers to the brake light switch. x) you lose turn signals, but we all know brake lights are more important. temporary of course but it works! ... also hilarious that my front turn signals and dash indicators now work as brake lights ^-^. .... so on a wagon, the middle bulb is brake light /running light /turn signal ? and the brake switch works as a power not a ground? thanks for all the help guys! thats why i love ratsun !!

was trying to keep this car on the down low till the datsun meet saturday but oh well :/. haha i dont have brake lights, but i have flashers, running lights and turn signals ( yes im aware turn signals are a different bulb) tested the brake light switch and it completes the circuit as it should when released. is the brake light switch supposed to have 12 volts? found lil to no info in the manual, and go figure they didnt even identify wiring colors -_-. any ideas? thanks for the help!

IM IN LOVE WITH THIS!!!!!!!!! as a son to a man whose been laying out cars for 15 years now, ive been wanting to bag my 510 and make it lay rocker on 15 x10's. main goal being to just have a 510 that lays rocker. you sir, have beat me to it. and for that i thank you, its preps me for knowing whats in store. itll happen eventually, and my 510 is in damn good condition considering.. but i can care less what the "purists" think ( i havent updated my build thread, but i made a metal spoiler and welded it to my trunk . lol) please dont stop! this is truly an inspiration!

" you shouldnt do..." haha. thank you! i know alot of people are starting to flourish their originality, but plenty want every car to be original restored, or BRE replica.. --_-- ... i dont drift my 510 as much as i used to, but when i first started to it was all because i recieved the comment " you cant drift a 510, theyre meant to be autocrossed"...oh yeah? ..fuck you! haha.

Ok guys, bad news. I finally got a hold of the #11 ecu and put it in. It didn't work :( everything else. Is working great nut as soon as I come up on 3500. It shuts me down.... any ideas?? Thanks

hey datzenmike, im getting the correct ecu today but was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me which this is for? a11-a43-g42 .. stilltwisted is going to use it in his swap, and was going to let me borrow it to try it out , but obviously there isn't a point in doing so since the numbers are way off. thanks!

thanks man! but unfortunately those aren't them.. (the second I saw that post I was like oh hell no! lol .. ) like I said, I appreciate all the eyes on on this. im sure come summer time theyre gonna show up on a car.... if theyre smart they'll paint the full rim and not just the insets... but theyre not smart, they stole some of my personal property.
