  1. So I just get her running well and I blow the head gasket. I do have a gasket kit, but my question is do I need to replace the head studs? I am trying to budget this as I am always poor. Is there anything else I need or need to know? Thanks. 66 Pl411 with a 1.3l.
  2. This is the only link I could find but I didn't order the second generation. When I called summit I asked them for the first generation. It was quite a bit cheaper than the second gen. Not sure what you mean by causal effect? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pnx-91741/overview/year/1966/make/nissan/model/411
  3. So I ended up with the pertronix, the cheap one and I gotta say that it works great!! My car idles soooo much nicer now! BUT now my damn car decided to blow the head gasket. She's just puffing white smoke and it reeks. I don't see any in the oil so that's good I guess. So seeing as I'm going to have to pull the head has anyone used ARP for head studs or is that just overkill. If not what did you use and where can I find em? Thanks
  4. Does the second gen ignitor from pertronix work too? I have a friend who might be able to get me a deal on it is why I ask.
  5. Has anyone used the kit Rock Auto has on their web site to convert to an electronic ignition? Is it worth the $177.79 to convert it or is there something better? I have been burning up points like crazy but it was my fault for not having the resistor before the coil. I've fixed that now tho.
  6. Very cool car man!! I'm super jello!
  7. I really don't think I understand the RL and PL thing because mine is a PL411. Or was that just the engine designation? Judging by my car's VIN I think I can say there was at least 32,058 of them if that's how it worked...
  8. Anyone have any information on how many 411's were made world wide and then how many were imported to the USA?
  9. Well I think I'm gonna have Fort Myers Technical College help me with it. I'm not sure if they have all the tools needed, I'm still waiting for a call back. If it seems like too much work I'll skip it since I haven't heard anything from it. Thanks again for all the info!!
  10. So I ordered the 1573 which is the whole kit for both sides, since I ordered the wrong parts before. I guess it works out tho since I can just do the pinion bearings while I'm in there.. I ordered the gasket for the pumpkin too. So now I'm just waiting on parts.
  11. Also if the axle is bad where can I get one? I've been coming up with a goose egg everywhere I look...
  12. Thanks man! I did order a Dif Bearing 30207, a Pinion repair sleeve 99139, and a inner and outer Pinion Bearings 32305,32306-c. I didn't order the other side yet. I may have to wait and do it when I get back to working. I just moved and was planning on driving this car daily..
  13. Let me see if I can use my girlfriends phone... I'll try to put em up as quick as I can.
  14. I assume you mean the end of the axle with the splines... However at this point I still have the car on the dolly so I can take it somewhere as needed. So the dolly won't allow me to pull the axle all the way out. I may just drop it today... We'll see how it goes. I just want my car!!
