  1. Ha ha, press on I shall. Progress has pretty much stopped due to 70-80 hour work weeks, but that has slacked off somewhat and the garage is a priority. Then Datsun.
  2. Nice shape, esp for this area.
  3. Just off screen to the left is where the tramp bounced into and over the 620. When the wife called me at work and told me about it she had no problem describing all the damage to my big truck, but she wouldn't even go look at the Datsun because of all the work I had done to it. I'm really fortunate that it only broke a side marker and bent the lower bedside panel on the Datsun. I'll post a pic soon. http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/dwalton1976/Datsun%20620/th_VIDEO0065_zpschxyrlti.mp4
  4. You're right about that. It also hit my Ram and caused about $1200 worth of damage to the bed, roof and both right side doors. I have a security cam video I may post showing it rolling into the Ram. It is now in the lowest part of our property where it can't hurt anything if it blows around.
  5. No kidding! I'll PM you. Maybe we've tipped the same cows.
  6. Thanks. I attempted to clean the seams out and fill them with seam sealer, but there are signs of rust under the paint at the seams already. Unfortunately, all of the rust has to be removed for it to not come back, and I couldn't do that without separating the panels. If I had separated them, removed every speck of rust and then sealed them, my chances would have been much better, but I ran out of time in the shop. Some people weld the seams up and make a smooth panel out of two, but at the time I wasn't interested in deviating from stock. Looking back, I wish I had considered because it may have bought a lot more time before the rust showed up. Another option is rust converters and encapsulators, but I have no experience with those. Once the rest of the truck is operational, I will address the seams again. By then I should have a garage built. I have to work on the bed again anyway because the wind blew a trampoline into one side and folded the rear panel under. :(
  7. Here's one, but it's really boring and the OP has been kinda lazy lately. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/51214-in-which-a-4x4-620-is-built/?fromsearch=1
  8. Or ass that looks like a mound of clay that's been beaten with a hammer.
  9. http://www.vox.com/a/maps-explain-the-middle-east Some interesting reading for those of us that never fully understood the turmoil in the ME. Interesting that this subject came up at the 100th anniversary of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, because WWI had a huge impact on the area.
  10. When are we going to see some burnout videos?
  11. Just ordered new grill emblem, taillights, hood and gas door bumpers and prop rod clip. I will need to find my taillight buckets and fix a dent in one, then decide if I want to go with the original silver or body color. As usual, leaning toward original look at the moment. I will also need to decide if I am going to run a rear bumper, which I normally consider mandatory for an application like this. I'm thinking round tube, sealed and set up as a reserve tank for onboard air. I would consider not running a bumper if the tailgate will drop all the way down for easier bed access. A two-inch receiver hitch from my stock of various take-offs will be modded to fit.
  12. Finally got the park lamps in and the stickers scraped off the windshield. I forgot to set the grill emblem in place, so again it looks a little plain, but it's getting there. I also took another look at the mirrors on my parts truck. They are OE Nissan mirrors. Do they look like original 620 mirrors? They might look okay with some black paint. I am also looking at this set (or similar) on eBay. I'm usually not big on chrome, but with the chrome bumper and antenna, and the stainless trim around the side markers, chrome mirrors may look good. Any opinions?
