    New header

What is the best shortie header to install on an L20b? As far as ease of installation and close to stock fit. Thanks. TC
  2. Would like to have dat clam shell at$35 shipped. Thanks TC
  3. Update. This guy Sean Russell is back on Craig's in Les Vegas selling the same dash I paid for Nov.6th, '12. He's asking $400. That would be $860 total. Not bad. His number is 702-596-9595. Call him for me and give him a big Ratsun hello.
  4. Now that's a chuckle. Thanks-I needed that.
  5. Experience is the best teacher. I just got to learn the same lessons over and over again.
  6. My idea was to do a 3M DiNoc carbon fiber vinal cover of the whole exterior while it was out. Though it would look oh so cool.
  7. Don't get me wrong. The dash was/is in good shape in the pic. I don't like the dash rug cover- up look. I may have paid too much but I'm not the crook here. I'm just trying to give our community a heads- up on this guy and hope if somebody out there knows him, they might apply some peer pressure. The dash does have a tach, a full blaze and a complete glove box, all the knobs, heater control, etc. I thought it would be a plug-an- play, saving me a lot of time and hassle which is worth something too.
  8. I don't know if this is the right place but I don't have any other place to go with this. Back on Nov.6th,'12, I came across several items for sale on Craig's in Las Vegas. All for a 620. One was a full dash with cluster and tach. I was assured the glove box hinge was intact and there were only 1-2 cracks on the dash. After texting back and forth, Sean and I came to an agreement of $460 that included shipping. I Sent The Money By PayPal. Sean was going to ship by Greyhound. By Nov.12th or so, no word. I started re-texting and on the 16th got the responce that Greyhound was not going to work out due to insurance and no tracking (lie) and FexEx would be used. That was the last word. I've sent 42 texts to Sean at 702-596-9595 plus left messages. I've left voice messages at "Hi this is Sean, leave a message" I'm in Ky. I've got all the above saved in my phone and i-pad. Don't trust this guy. This is the first time anyone has pulled this on me after many, many Craig's and eBay's. He also runs an online company "Dimmak Herbs" What a jerk. Oh Yeah, he's also trying to sell an aftermarket wood gran steering wheel and a couple of other things. If he is a member here, he should be cast out of this community.
  9. Was the undercarrage beefed up on these. The 620 camper has a heaver rear end (I think).
  10. Hay Yello, Would like to buy the following parts if still in stock: 1. One Head Light Boot 2. Wiper Motor 3. Horns 4. Tach Delet trim with knob. Today is my birthday. How about a bundle price? Thanks, TC You can add the brake adjusters if they fit back brakes on a '79.
  11. what is a good tire to go on the 14's? The only 14in tires I can find are kinda bland. My '79 620 king is ready for new shoes and I have a set of late 720 rims I found in pristine condition with vanity rings still in place that I gave $175. Will anything else go on these rims? The center caps are missing. What should I look for as far as caps go that will fit in place? Thanks. TC
  12. Thanks, I have a new water pump with a fan clutch but it ain't shiny. Oh well. I'm dying to get my truck moving so I'll just trim it and spin it. I plan to paint my King Cab Allice Chalmers Persan Orange No. 2 so if I need to touch up I can go down to Tractor Supply and get a raddle can ready match.
  13. Got my fresh motor in my '79 620. Want to go with an electric fan. Have a shiny new water pump with no pulley. WHERE do I find a pulley? What pulley will fit? Don't need the ol' fan clutch and can't fit the electric fan in there with the clutch sticking out anyway. Squeez-Me? What do I do? Thanks TC

    Saying Hello

I'm new to this forum but not to Datsuns. I've owned 3.5 in the past (my buddy and I split a $50 beater when I was stationed in Hawaii). I drove a 521 for seven or eight years. The best vehical I've ever owned in my life. But now at age 57 and at 6'4" and 275, I just can't see myself back in one. Last week, I pulled the trigger on a '79 620 extended cab with a blown piston. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. It's stirght unmolested with one small rust through spot on the bed. Three speed automatic (did Datsun make an overdrive 4 speed auto?). Well motor overhaul first and Hello to you'all.
