  1. I have a buddy that is thinking of taking the truck. It would be great to have access to a parts truck. Thanks for the heads up.
  2. Still have the truck. Have been working on the motor and brakes. Runs well, stops well. Bed rust gone. Sanded down getting ready for semi flat green paint. Here is post with pics. http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=9576 Make cash/trade offer, wife is tired of paying insurance on it. thanks
  3. least you got the hood, that is several hundred worth of louvers.
  4. there are two bolts that are in the center, inside the rubber bumper. And two more on the outside in where it bolts to the bed rear quarter panel. You don't have to take the lens off first.
  5. sealed the bed after all the welding and rust repair. First coat of primer... might knock out the dents in the bed, but I propably will be putting more back in later anyway. gonna be a shop truck...
  6. It looks nice like it was new, so you did a good job.
  7. real nice, really like the color. What shade is that?
  8. was that grille new too, or cleaned up?
  9. You can wire brush, then put on some of that rust paint stuff. Like master series, por 15, rust bullet, etc. If you use por 15, you have to paint over it, 'cause the UV rays kill it after awhile. Then use a paintable calk sealent, or body seam seal.
  10. I was cleaning the inside of the bed of my truck. And I saw that the water was seeping through there seams to the outside... So, if your inside bed seams are missing the calk, then you are going to have rust issues on the outside paint...
  11. Got a lot done on the bed body work wise, decided to take it out and hose it off. Figured the best way to move it was the truck it came from... Well it has rained for the last 4 days and the area where the truck was parked turned to mud. So, I had to pull the truck out with my Chevy... I deff do not have a L-S-D, as the pass wheel was just a turnning.... Tire looked like a cinn powdered donut...
  12. I don't think I would like having my holes (hole, singular) cleaned up with a dremel...
  13. Hell, your truck looks better than mine...
  14. once had a bug body, just the shell. No wheels, glass, interior nothing. licenced and insured and they couldn't touch it. Funny as hell, pissed the nieghbors off. funny part is I was living in a section 8 apartment complex that my boss's wife was the manager of. like they had room to talk with their "had-a-lacs" all over the place.:fu:
  15. Tack welded the rear seams on the driver side in prep for the fiberglass filler. No real need in welding solid, as the seams were strong. Just don't want them wiggling around under the filler. Another shot of the front bulkhead fully welded with drain slots.
