  1. the rust is mostly around the rear wheel wells, and was the front floor boards, they have pans welded in now
  2. Fair enough haha, id like to find a mint shell with no drivetrain or suspension, and move it all over, that or im about to cut some out and add zg flares and call it good enough
  3. im from indiana and mines a dd that needs some tlc, but its pretty damn rusty
  4. edited and added...sorry i knew i was forgetting something $2500
  5. Did some repairs to the tank, replaced the soft lines, fuel pump and plugged all vacuum leaks and removed all emissions garbage Has the stock l16b four cylinder with single downdraft carb, starts right up no problem regardless of weather, New electronic fuel pump on a switch, fuel pressure regulator and pressure gauge. brand new exhaust with glasspack, have all door and side panels, was getting ready to start sound deadening so have removed some of them we are in the rust belt so it definitely needs some attention in that area, rigged up floor pans have already been welded in place in the front. back seats are in great condition but they are out for the same reason to do some dampening. stock am stereo, stock wheels and 3 datsun hubcaps, steering wheel etc, lots of stock parts coilovers on the front, air bags with 2" lowering blocks on the back. grant steering wheel, 5spd dogleg transmission swapped from 200sx. 15x8 and 15x9 xxr 0 offset wheels (would raise front suspension a tad or roll fenders, does rub when loaded with people or getting on it around curves, heat and defrost work just fine. brakes work but are manual so if you want to stop your going to have to pump them a time or two. tons of extra parts Removed vinyl top and rattlecanned satin green now 765-546-283FIVE call text or reply on here and ill get to you as soon as i can $2500 I drive this every day 60 miles a day to and from work, got bills to pay so i can start a family with my wife, toys gotta go
  6. Interested in door mirror, front bumper and brackets...and did you say that you have an additional rear bumper you would like to part with? i have the filler panel but would need brackets...how much and how much shipped to 47394....or i may take a weekend road trip
  7. Hmmm. if you get the swap complete i might buy it and drive it home to indiana...16 hours aint nothing, sounds like a good way to spend a weekend to me
  8. one pic of said wagon is in my original post...or at least it shows for me maybe im doing it wrong.... and dgi...im starting to think i have your issue...because after all of this driving around perfectly for hours...used some fuel and now same issue with a electric fuel pump with filter before...fpr set at 4psi and filter after that.....so aggravated right now but i think i have replaced everything but the tank and should have went with my gut being the tank from the get go, would a fuel cell be better for peace of mind. or can pretty much any radiator shop fix up my gas tank. how much did it run you to get redone and a new pickup tube, because reflecting back i never have issues with a full tank. meaning for all i know both mechanical fuel pumps i had were doing just fine....im fine with the goon nickel and diming me...but when it does and it still has to sit in the garage, that kinda blows
  9. Vacuum was one of the first things i checked when this happened, did exactly that pulled the gas cap. put the pressure gauge on there today, still not pulling enough, even ran the line from the pump to a gas can and was barely pulling enough and this is a brand new fuel pump...im beginning to think the cam lobe is wore since the previous pump was relatively new as well, i wired up an electric fuel pump and is running like a dream, despite the annoying buzz from the pump...ill take another buzz squeak or rattle to make it reliable any day i guess that means i can take down my craigslist ad i posted out of frustration and start shopping for wheels mirrors bumpers, roof rack and air dam....that will keep me busy for a while...and if all goes well running wise this week will put in the sound system i have been holding off on
  10. Hello everyone...just want to check in and say ive been lurking on this awesome forum for about a month now and decided now would be as good a time as any to say howdy to all and do some introductions I have always been into rat rods and classics and consistantly have a couple projects ( currently a 65 impala and 47 chevy stylemaster) and always enjoyed the unique and rare, found this goon across the state and decided this would be a great daily driver for my commute to work, and just to have something different. lots of plans and ideas are already flowing, and some work has already commenced. i have been driving it everyday for about 2 months, rain snow or shine with no complaints, however ever since i dropped the tank to patch a hole in the filler neck and clean some stuff up ive been running into issues. i ran all new rubber lines. hard lines were good, new fuel filter, new fuel pump and everything is tight, no leaks, plugged two vent lines, and im letting one breathe.....and the random sparactic fuel starvation began, i can literally lift the hood and watch my fuel filter go from almost full to dry, and needless to say this started some issues during daily driving...putted home at 10mph 30 miles from work friday night. i have an electrical pump im about to install close to the tank as a booster to see if that helps, because vaccuum pressure guage reads 3.5/4.5 which is my understanding is plenty, but cant figure out why it keeps going dry, unless i have a tank full of sludge....oh wells, my understanding of what i got l16b 5spd dogleg swap from 200sx front coilovers rear lowering blocks and airbags xxr wheels ( i dont like them but everyone goes nuts for them...ssr star sharks are what i would like to get my hands on and a buddy has 14x7 appliance mesh wheels im thinking about going with for the interim just trying to get and keep the datto dependable and a daily driver, i sold my jeep cherokee and talked the wife into this because it would be economical...that is if i can drive it haha i have a ka24de out of my buddies 240sx sitting on the stand with ecu and manual tranny that im tempted to swap in, for performance and reliability needs some love in regards to the rust hardcore p.s. anybody have a front and or rear bumper they would like to part with, roof rack, or spook or other air dam short of those and mirrors everything is complete anywho that pretty much bring me up to speed great site and wealth of info any tips on my current situation...and anyone somewhat local in relation to mid indiana/ohio line
