While I was on deployment, I got a email from my girlfriend saying there had been a fire at the shop. F*ck my life, right? There were some loose wires on my wire harness and a spark caught the motor on fire. By then I made a decision to say goodbye to that motor. I could have rebuilt it, but I felt that if my girlfriend and I were to be driving my 510 (yes I let her drive it), the carborated motor would have caused many, many further problems. The motor did flood a lot, which I hated, so I decided go go EFI. I told my gf to buy a sr20det before I came home
Here's my baby.
So the car sat in the shop for forever, really due to my collecting parts to get ready for the sr20det, and I felt bad about my car holding up space at my buddy's shop. I decided to move it out of there and take it to another shop that could help me. And below, you can see my 510 leaving my buddy's shop.
The new shop was slightly closer and easier to get to.They got right in to cleaning up the engine bay, starting on top mount turbo modification, and rebuilding my block.
This is how she sits now. She should be running within the a week or so from now,the ae86 use to be mine crashed her drifting :(
