  8. Thanks man, a lot of ups and downs with this car it will all be worth it.
  9. While I was on deployment, I got a email from my girlfriend saying there had been a fire at the shop. F*ck my life, right? There were some loose wires on my wire harness and a spark caught the motor on fire. By then I made a decision to say goodbye to that motor. I could have rebuilt it, but I felt that if my girlfriend and I were to be driving my 510 (yes I let her drive it), the carborated motor would have caused many, many further problems. The motor did flood a lot, which I hated, so I decided go go EFI. I told my gf to buy a sr20det before I came home Here's my baby. So the car sat in the shop for forever, really due to my collecting parts to get ready for the sr20det, and I felt bad about my car holding up space at my buddy's shop. I decided to move it out of there and take it to another shop that could help me. And below, you can see my 510 leaving my buddy's shop. The new shop was slightly closer and easier to get to.They got right in to cleaning up the engine bay, starting on top mount turbo modification, and rebuilding my block. This is how she sits now. She should be running within the a week or so from now,the ae86 use to be mine crashed her drifting :( some xr4 action i could sleep with these. Here is a list of parts that the car came with and some that I acquired along the way: Parts list: 1. SR20DET 2. JE forge pistons 86.55mm (bottomend was honed and rebored for them) 3. Apex head gasket 4. CX racing manifold 5. SpeedHut Gauges 6. Godspeed intake manifold 7. Mckinney intercooler 8. Mckinney radiator 9. Datsport conversion kit 10. Greddy BOV 11. RCI fuel cell 10 gallon 12. Half roll-cage (not sure brand) 13. JDM grill (plastic one) 14. SSR xr4 long champs 14x7 Future plans: 1. Bride seats (zeta III) 2. R160 or R180 LSD 3. Nidari steering wheel 4. radio 5. Painting the car 6. Takata racing harnesses 7. Refurbishing the JDM grill 8. Wilwood break conversion 9. Jim Wolf fuel rail 10. New injectors (still debating on size) 11. ECU tune
  10. Hello fellow Ratsuners. This post is about 3 years overdue. I got my 510 back in 2010 around December in San Francisco. I don't think the owner is a member of Ratsun but he he did know of it. Here of some pics of the car when I first got it. When I got my 510, it came with a VG30 carbed swap, which the owner had personally done himself. I live in San Diego and my girlfriend and I saw it on craigslist and we made an adventure out of it. (On a side note, I hadn't driven stick in about 2 years, but hey its like riding a bike right?) Here are some pics on the way home. I didn't know much about carborated motors, but I guess it gave out due to the altitude around grapevine. Overall, the seller was super nice and told me how to get her back up again because I had no idea what a choke cable was. I was super stoked because it made the entire 400 mile trip. And here are some pics when I got it back to my buddy's shop where we would start our own modifications. BUT..... it was put on hold due to my deployments in the military and while I was gone, the shop said I could keep it there for free and they'd start it up for me every once in a while.
  11. I saw a guy on zilvia selling a sr caged one let me pm you the link.
