  1. I had a pic on Ratsun when she was fixed, but it was lost in the web change. She is in transport, but I will post asap.
  2. Back in 2008 I purchased a 1965 l320 . It was lodged in a mountain side in Oregon. I towed her home to El Sereno California and rebuilt her to work as my company truck. Gladiator pest control. We got her on the road after a total strip down to the frame and rebuild. We painted her and went to work. Side by side we worked for a year and a half building the business. Around 2010 we had to part ways out of need for a bigger truck and a move that only allowed one parking space. So I sold her for $600. My set was with more, but that's how it happened. I missed her, and regretted every moment after. Time went on. The business grew, and the search for the first truck began. Long story short. 8/2015 I found her and although not in good shape I bought her back. 2nd chance. Together again.
  3. Good stuff ! I really can't say how much I Luv Ratsun, but here it goes. Ratsun is the best site on the net because of the people. Bar none!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm crossing my fingers on head.
  4. Thanks for the quick response!! As a matter of fact, it is #'s 2 & 3, I will definitely check that out, it was told to me that the engine was rebuilt before they parked it for a few years. The 1 & 4 pistons are 140psi, so that may be a possibility. Thanks for the info, I hope you're right cuz that would save me a ton o $$$$$. If you're right, then she should be back on the road wihin a month!!!
  5. Need suggestions: I have a 69 Fairlady 1600 engine with 2 cylinders at 60lb compression, I have already checked the threads to see if any info was out there that may help. If I were to swap the engine out for an upgrade, what type would be the easiest swap? I have read that it is the hardest to swap. Ok. If I were to rebuild it are there any suggestions on the rebuild to increase performance. Any information would be helpful. I don't want to rebuild it and then find out for a few more bucks I could have done ?????? Open for ideas.
  6. I have a J series engine in my L320. Im looking for a header just because I cant get a good fit on the old manifold. Im tired of the exhaust leak. Will this fit ?
  7. Good job on the collection of parts. It seems you have everything but he ever so hard to find rear bumper set. Im still looking for a set also, but all in time. Keep up the good work, and sent more pics.

After some time of searching the truck, It turned out to be exactly where it was said to be. Passenger side frame behind the shock. Note however that it is not a stamped like those on US autos. It is very lightly stamped. So a coat of paint will cover it up easily. It seems that a 100 grit sandpaper was almost taking it off so be careful. Well that is it. On the 65 L320 the Id is on the passenger frame behind the shock. Thanks.:D

Here's the problem. I'm trying to register the car. It has no history on file and I know they are going to want to see a stamped number on the frame. I don't know what will happen if I can't find one, but I think it will be a red tape situation. The one on the metal plate is good, but the frame stamp I can not find. Is it possible it is under the bed. I think I remember seeing one when I was painting the frame, but I really don't want to remove it again.
  13. I know a kool place in Downtown LA Ca. that takes the old one and rebuilds it at what ever amp you need. If you need I can get info, but your probably too far.

I have looked all over the engine compartment for a stamped Id number. I just cant find it. I have a 65 L320. I've already checked the passenger side of the frame behind the shock. Any other ideas.
