  1. Well, when I noticed it was full of water, I removed it from the car, and was irritated to find that it had started to rust the bolts that held it in place. I drained as much of the water as I could, and THOUGHT that I got all of it, apparently I missed some, as you can still see it in the tips of the wing. Regardless, I covered the center unused hole with electrical tape, then gorilla tape on top of that. It's not a permanent solution, but I was hoping to stop it from allowing more water in for the time being. I also found some rubber washers, and dipped the ends of the bolts in Vaseline to try and "seal up" the area where it bolted to the car. My only issue is, I don't know if fiberglass needs to "breathe" like some materials do, to stay intact, and that's why the central hole is there. I also need to get the remaining resin water out of the wing tips. Hence why I was considering drilling a small weep hole at the lowest point on the tips. I was thinking if water DID get in at that point it wouldn't have time to soak the resin and take some of it and spill it all over my car.
  2. Hey guys, I picked up a BRE style spoiler from MSA, and everytime I wash the car it gets water in it, to water eventually drains....mostly....and when it does it's all full of fiberglass resin, that gets on the body of the car. Has anyone else had this issue with an MSA spoiler? Or just any BRE style wing in general? I'm thinking about drilling small drain holes at the ends of the wing to allow the water to drain out, and hopefully it wouldn't allow it to pool at all, to become resin water. However if anyone else has had this issue, what did you guys do? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!
  3. I have a car, and uh..it runs....I haven't really been doing much with it lately haha, no time... I did however freshen up my key cylinder cover, And I retaped my wiring harnesses for my turn signals that I made, so they look and function much better However, I haven't uploaded those pictures from my phone yet.... Eventually.... Eventually.......
  4. Yes sir it is, it went to my painter, we worked out a deal for the Z to get all the body work done, and rust repaired, and some other misc stuff done, for the car. Thanks!, expect a good deal more soon haha Thanks, I appreciate it!
  5. The swap has been done before, I know it requires a bit of work to get it in, but it does fit. Mine however, is currently on a shelf in the garage. I've been on vacation in MN for the past month and a half, and won't be home until the end of July. However, once I get home, the car is going in for body work, and I'll see what it takes to get the grill in at that point in time. In the meantime though... here's a few more updated random things. I end up lacking on this threads updates... Started making my turn signal harness plug n play, just like OEM. 280Z connecter, on the 240Z bulb holder Wire loomed...I did put electrical tape at the ends, I just never took a picture of it...and I didn't like how the electrical tape turned out, so I'll be redoing it later. Cleaned 240Z turn signal housings with new gaskets Cleaned lenses..still need to be polished out to really make them shine, but at least most of the dirt is out. Mounted up. and on. Next day at my old job, in the sun. I love the 240 turn signals much more. They're significantly better than the 280's New winshield wiper nuts.... much better than the random replacements that had been put on...these will be painted black to match the wiper arms when the car gets painted Cleaned up the 240Z taillights. Started fitting the taillight panels. Made a rough mark of what needed to be cut out. A few cuts later.. and it fits in.. Other side.. Taillights are in.. Now, I ran into an issue, the license plate light piece, doesn't fit in the 240 holder. If I had a 240 one, I'm sure it would fit with no problem. However I don't know if that will just bolt up to the original holes in the 280 body. So being that I wasn't about the hack up a nice metal 240 tail light panel, I decided the much more commonly found 280Z one could be hacked up. I cleaned it up, then checked where I needed to cut, and got the saw out and went to town. Now, I know there is a hole there, however it is easy to just cover up with some glue of sorts to make a sort of "wall" or I'm sure you could fiberglass it closed, or something much more elaborate, I just wanted it to be simple, so I will end up making a wall of glue or something. However it fits the car now and works just fine. And to finish of this getting up to speed update.... I got a replacement towhook in from ZCCJDM, as the original one had been bent the incorrect way, however Brian was super helpful and awesome in getting me a replacement one, so if anyone has any potential qualms with ordering from him... I wouldn't. and I did my 5 speed swap! I don't really have pictures of the swap itself..just 2 from the day of.. Old junk out. So that about does it, for this massive update. As said I'll be back home around the end of July, and from there I'll be hitting the car hard and getting quite a bit accomplished.
  6. Yep they do, no big deal though, I like them anyways, I'll just buy more if they break haha. Random pictures. Fender Mirrors are gonna look awesome.
  7. After the holes were made for it, yes. Being that it comes with no holes for bolts, no. Random pictures...
  8. Thanks man, I just want the stuff I do to come out nicely haha. Just some routine maintenance type of stuff... I sometimes forget how wide my rear set up is.. Threw a few body parts on the car. The paint on my hood is completely coming up, guess my hood used to belong to a brown Z
  9. Thanks! All new gaskets for more junk!
  10. It's been another while. Stuff has happened. Lots is going to be changing soon :)

  12. So it's been somewhat eventful lately, and I've gotten a few things for my garage... Z stuff first though! Floormats are in and look good And I picked up a set of 240z taillights with fillers. I don't know why the picture is upside down, it's uploaded in the correct direction....oh well. My frame rails arrived the other day...but I have yet to go get them, I'll pick them up soon.. Garage stuff! So through various christmas gift cards and selling a few parts off of the del sol I was able to buy some junk for my garage. First thing was a craftsman floor cabinet. And a work lamp and power strip for the inside of the cabinet. Cabinet after I was done putting it together. Pushed into its home. and what's currently in it.... I'll find more stuff to fill up the space later. Then today I was back at sears and picked up a few other things.. Cordless impact, pry bars, and a infrared thermometer. Yep.
  13. currently, yes I won't be later on though.
