  1. Car is still available, I've had a ton of tire kickers, but no bites yet. If you're interested call me at 609-227-1049
  2. Hey thanks a lot man! I hope this car goes to a great home :D I took her out today, and she is running PRIME! :D
  3. Haha maybe! I'll dock shipping charges if you want! I want the car to go to a good home. I love the car dearly, and I want someone who has the time to devote to keeping a classic on the road.
  4. Hello Ratsun community, I have a 1974 early production 260z. It is dark metallic red and has a new black interior. Located in NJ General Info: 17x,xxx miles I believe I am the Third owner I've had the car since October, but need to get rid of it because I have no time to drive or work on it because I'm a student. Engine: L26 with 72' round top carbs. MSA Ceramic coated 6-1 header. Full service including: Fuel filter Fuel Pump Distributor Cap Rotor Plug wires Coil pcv valve And a few other things that may be slipping my mind at the moment. Drive train: 5 speed swap from a 280z I believe (P.O. put it in.) Clutch seems fine. Brand new slave cylinder Factory R180 non-LSD Brakes: They work, but to the best of my knowledge will need a little bit of service to be reliable as a daily driver. Interior: It's new! except for the sun visors. But new seats, new head liner, new carpets and floor mats. Exterior: Paint is Dark Red Metallic, looks great but there are minor chips and things but nothing that takes away from the aesthetic of the vehicle. Rust: Managed to avoid essentially all of the usual spots. The only thing really of concern is the passenger side frame rail. It will need to be repaired or replaced ( Bad Dog Parts makes a great replacement for less than $100 for the front.) The price is negotiable. I have it at $3600. I will also trade for a nice BMW E30. Thank you for your time and you can email me for any questions or pictures you may want at KeaE30@yahoo.com http://www.photobucket.com/260zNJ The videos have a lot of information. A bunch of pics.
  5. Yeah I've been doing all the work my self so far. I was just wondering if there were any shops who might specialize in this stuff. And if they did specialize, I'm sure they'd have a ton of knowledge and ton of rare stuff :o ggzilla, there are a TON of old timers out here, but they're busy with families, or sold their Datsuns, or are into other cars now. For example there's a gentleman at my local Nissan dealership who's very S30 savvy, but he's a busy guy with a family and work so i don't usually get a great deal of time talking to him.
  6. Is there a list of this someplace already? I feel like these people are skilled artists and therefore difficult to find....especially on the East Coast.....and even more so in New Jersey If someone could make recommendations or even help me compile a list that would be amazing!
  7. Whatever is on sale. Even the cheapest oil today is better than the best oil of the 70', 80's and 90's. It's a truly remarkable thing. Royal Purple is a nightmare. I work at an auto parts store and I always deal with unhappy royal purple customers. It takes A LOT to flush that stuff out, and you need to flush it if you want to use anything else. I use Catrol GTX or GTX High Mileage 10w-40 and a good oil filter. (i.e. k&n or a Bosch distance plus.) If my memory serves me correctly, and I am sure that I'm not spot on with the numbers, they filter down to 8-14 microns. Particles like that can get by other filters and they can score the cylinder walls over time which reduces compression, increases probability or amount of blow by etc. I may run an oil additive like Lucas or something. If i were to do racing or weekend events I may run a synthetic racing oil because they have thermal transfer capabilities, and break down significantly less at high temps and high load. Of course, that Kendal gt-1 stuff sounds awesome...but also some what of a specialist item. I like Castrol and products like it because I can get it at work (at a discount of course ) I'm not an expert or even close to one. But these are a couple of the things I've learned from experience and some track veterans.
  8. Hella E-Code H4 Conversion Rally Lights Only a hundred bucks (give or take) and the e-codes are a must have improvement over the standard sealed beam lights! Plus, they take an H4 bulb. Sweet
  9. I plan on taking a ton of pics when doing the header and what not on my Z. I have some nice round tops to put on it. It needs TLC....hard. But it looks good! ;D

  10. I literally just joined the forum and I can't believe this! I just bought a mostly immaculate 260z as well! and my exhaust manifold is shot as well. I went a similar route. I bought the MSA 6-1 TBC coated header though. It's good to see what i'm getting my self into :o
