  1. awesome link oldskool, bookmarked them for future reference  They have much more character than a blank sheet of abs.
  2. Thanks for the kind words Pharouh. This smog stuff can be ridiculously confusing. Got some time today to work on my truck, changed oil and oil filter. Adjusted idle speed, and further attempted to clean the EGR tube. PROGRESS, I now have air flow through the EGR tube. Its not much but its there. There is good suction on the the back hole(closest to the firewall) which I believe leads to the intake manifold, but the front hole there is not much pressure. I had to cover everything up though as we are supposed to have rain for the next week or so. Things are gonna be put on hold until then, but I am gonna try one more time to clean things out better and then go ahead and bolt everything on. If all goes well I should be able to schedule a smog check after that.
  3. I took of my EGR valve and the tube is completely carbon fouled, I mean clogged to the top with brown carbon deposits. Getting the egr tube off looks like a pain, anyone have any advice or suggestions of how to remove or clean this out? I also am looking for some help routing the lines to my carbon canister. In particular I need to know what connects to this red capped inlet?
  4. With the Air injection system fixed, and no longer leaking we began to make repairs to the cooling system. We cut out a section of crimped metal coolant lines and repaired it with new high temp rubber hose. We also replaced a section of rubber coolant line that was kinked do to it being too long. By repairing both these I am sure the cooling system will function better. Installed new upper and lower radiator hoses, cap, and a new thermostat. While we were at it went ahead and put on new NGK plugs and wires.
  5. The previous owner, had capped the air injection system, and in doing so bent the shit out of the metal pipe that attaches to the air check valve, putting a hole through the metal. We got the cap off, then repaired the pipe with some JB weld, split a section of heater hose wrapped it around the pipe the hose clamped it in place. Thing is solid as a rock. I am happy with the repair, as long as it holds up it should be just fine.
  6. Well unfortunately progress has been super slow. I had a hell of time finding the necessary smog parts, but the good news is that I finally sourced all the needed parts. So here is what I have been up to. I have cleaned, and painted all the parts that will be going on. They were taken down to bare metal, primer and high temp enamel paint. New K&N air filter and a NOS smog pump filter. The C.A.C. valve was ridiculously hard to find. I eventually located it at my local pick n pull. After months of nothing they got two 620's 5 days apart. So I am happy I finally have all the smog parts, but have some other issues to take care of before they can go on.
  7. Congrats on your award. I love the new decals, old ones were dope too though

  12. Looking to purchse a Combined Air Control valve that will work for a 1979 620. nissan part 14832-W5901 I am also interested in the mounting bracket and tensioner arm for smog pump, as well as other brass fittings for routing emission tubing. Hope someone out there can be of some help. Thank you for your time
  13. I am looking for pictures of a functioning smog system on a 1978-79 California 620. I am in the process of getting my truck ready for smog, as the previous owner decided to remove emissions parts. In particular I am looking for pictures of how the smog pump is attached to the engine block, and how air hose is connected to the air galley. I think the previous owner capped off the air galley but I am not sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Guys
