Just got it back to my parents house. They jacked up the ignition and the key was a struggle to get in and would not turn in any direction. All the wiring seems to be intact, hopefully they did not actually drive it like it was stolen and trash the motor and then just leave it for dead. Had to get it towed but at least it's safe now.

Just got the word. The car has been found, out in the Pittsburgh/Antioch area. Probably just ran out of gas, no key for the fuel door. No reported damage or parts missing either. Should get her back today. Thanks for all the concern and help everybody. Time to put some GPS in it so this won't happen again!

Nothing yet. Just talked to the insurance company about the claim etc. Once I'm off work I will be talking to the Police dept to give them the information regarding my cell phone being used in another town.

They were immediately notified. I got the information about the phone usage on Sunday, when the department was closed.

Hey everyone thanks for the kind words and keeping a look out. Your Spot on Hall Monitor, that is exactly what it has, though I took the interior out due to some water getting through the rear window. It also has a dent on the front driver side fender where someone in my neighborhood dinged it without leaving a note. My phone was in the car and foolishly enough the perps (presumably) were using it after looking in my AT&T usage log. Got incoming and outgoing calls, almost all of them in Antioch CA. Will be notifying the Antioch police Tuesday and speaking to Concord police to see if there is anything they can do with those call logs etc. I know I'm not an active member on here, I lurk some times. I really do appreciate everybody helping out a stranger. Feeling the love.

On Friday Afternoon between 5-5:45pm my 71 2 door was stolen from the Touchstone Climbing parking lot in Concord California (just outside of San Francisco). The car now has fender mirrors not shown in the photo. If anyone sees this please contact the police and notify them. I would also appreciate a PM or reply if any sightings are made. Plate number is 6JBW097 Sad panda. UPDATE: Car has been found! Hooray!

Hello Everyone, After many years of not driving my 510 (very first car at 17, still have it in storage) I picked another 2-door and am back in the saddle. The previous owner did all the restoration had purchased a seal kit from Datsunland and surprisingly enough the front and rear windshields are leaking, shocking really ;) Now that the rain has come my floorboards are filling and water is in the trunk, just like old times. The car does not have the stainless trim insert which could be the problem from what I've read. The rear window seal does have cracking at the corners. From what I've gathered I can get seals from the following vendors: Scott's Old Rubber -Seals have provision for stainless insert and he offers a plastic insert that should serve the same purpose as the original. Datsport -Seals have provision for stainless insert. I would either have to find some or buy the plastic ones from Scott's Datsunland -Currently have these seals in the car and they are not working. Read the Q&A as well as other posts and the window seals seem to be where the problem like, all the other seals are working fine. Could go with the "cal look" but I have a my doubts that they will fit or preform as they should. What I'm really looking for is an opinion on these three and what the best seal is. I'm not too concerned about the cost at this point, I just want water out of the cab. Thanks!
