  1. I love all of your fabrication work. I wish I had your skills. I have a 1980 datsun 720 rat truck that has a 1970 dat 240z engine about 90 percent installed in it. I need to figure out how i am going to get the exhaust pipe hooked up to the motor. it seems that there is a torsion bar in the way. problem #2 is some sort of air cleaner assembly. And here in Arizona we have to pass emmision test. And and has anyone told you that you talk funny? I'm sorry but I could not resist that last comment. I am also Happy to see someone else do the straight six change over in a 720 truck. I will have to get some pictures of my project here.....Jim.
  2. To put a inline 6 cyl dat eng into your 720 truck is not worth the hassle. i have a 1980 datsun truck that I have put one into. You run into the domino effect, one problem after another. Without cutting the body you will not have room for a rad or fan. I cut off the rad support and extended the frame. I currently can drive around the around the block on open a-pipe. Just not worth the trouble.... I have decided to make my 720 a rat truck....I strongly advise not to try and shoehorn a Z car 6cyl eng into a 720 truck...As far as pictures go I do not have anuy current ones..... Will it fit? And what can I do to make it fit, it's pretty long engine for the short nose of a 720! What should I do?
  3. It is so nice to see a clean adult owned 720.....congrats!
  4. Clean truck. i would drive it and enjoy. Enjoy the dependability and the gas mileage of the truck before hacking and butchering. The truck looks like it was adult owned. Something that is very hard to find these days. New carpet can be obtained via the internet.. Also most small plastic clips that usually break on these older models can still be bought from the dealership. I was amazed at the parts still availabe from my dealer.
  5. I never heard of people referring to plastic as sexy. On that stang motor all I see is a bunch of plastic. I wonder why I sell more Ford motors and they are so expensive. I guess ancient tehnology is a bad thing, but if it works why change it?
  6. This car is actually a 2 dr sdn. Model te31.....The coupe has much better lines..Bordering on sexy...Well, at least as sexy as a corolla can be.
  7. I imagine that the photo of the fat blob of shit is probably pretty funny if you are about 8 years old!
  8. I have been running Fram since 1981. I have never lost and engine yet. I also drive my cars hard. There is also a chance that I do not change my oil like I should. To each his own.
  9. The red car is a 67-69 Toyota Corona with a 3rc engine.
  10. I amen that! Ratsun people seem to have very restricted budgets. If you spent more than the truck is worth, that is completely up to you. One of my co-workers was telling me that I should not spend $50 for good fenders for my 720. He believed that fenders are only worth $25. I told him to get with the times. The 80's have come and gone.
  11. Are those pinto hub caps on that datsun?
  12. I seen a red mitsu truck truck like yours in a junk yard in Tucson. The yard is on irvington. It's called AA auto parts.
  13. I like when you ask the customer for the eighth digit of the vin#, The customer says do I start from the begining or the end?
