I'm surprised no one has asked about wheels/tires yet.
We wanted to get the seat in there right away because the cage is really short and far forward and we needed to see if we have to make any adjustments. Jeff is the tallest straw so with the seat on the floor and helmet on, we find we are not within the rules which is top of helmet 2" below the top of the roll cage.
So, we will have to flatten or lower the floor. Enter Sam and his cutting wheel of death!
A second mock-up with the seat on the plywood shows we will be okay with a flat floor.
Sam also got the window net mounting mocked up.
While Jeff worked on the engine bay wiring harness
And I POR15'd everything but the actual floor pans since we are still kind of working on those...
For those keeping score, we have a LOT to do and not much time to do it so we each have a homework assignment this week. Check back for progress...
This is great thread! Had fun reading through your adventures. I just went through a similar situation, but with 2 B210 coupes. I'm in Cali so they are in much better condition, and one has been sitting in a backyard since 1976. WA weather is brutal on cars. Nice work saving what you could!
A B210 sitting since 1976? Was it driven there from the dealer? What the heck?!
Made some more progress on the sedan today. My parents were up and my dad helped for a bit so that was cool. Also had a couple visitors picking up parts. Ready to have this all done though so I can get back to work on Rice Wagon and Swamp Thing.
Can't see it in this picture but the floors are rotted out pretty bad!
Dash almost ready for extraction
Anyone need seats? I'd prefer to give them to someone who wants to reupholster than throw them in the trash bin.
