  1. you know you're a datsun owner when your phone, ipod, and laptop/computer all have datsun wallpapers on them
  2. yeah the general lee was in saint helens i lived there my whole life and now i just moved out to utah. he let his son drive it to school and stuff but he sold it probably 2-3 years ago.
  3. i am looking at making it into an occasional driver/ race themed 510 and i'm planning on running a four linked shortened ford 9 inch rear end with a posi, connected to a turbo 400 trans. powered by a smallblock 327
  4. this was all just a thought and i wanted input from all of you, no bloodshed no tears we're all good. i'm not out to do this project in a hurry, things done in a hurry are hack jobs and end up getting scrapped. i will keep this thought of a v8 but for now i am still prepping for paint and drawing up interior ideas.
  5. no no no i see what you're saying, that is just a picture for the dash ideas.
  6. lol i have always wanted to own a 510 since like 8th grade and now i have one. that orange general lee was a buddy's of mine in high school no joke.
  7. i'll be moving back to oregon in june or july my datsun is there at my dad's house you have any parts you are selling?
  8. yeah what your saying makes alot of sense, i've done motor swaps before and i've built race cars for our local dirt circle track but this is my first datsun project, a 4 cylinder would be practical and deffinitly not a hack job but it seems that almost every datsun motor swap is a 4 cylinder. a small block 327 with the right set up in the front suspension and the patience to do the swapwith time and care will be the sweet ticket.i'm not out to intend to destroy such a beautiful rare car, but to just make it my own. the thought i have put into this car and my plans should go well and i'm looking forward to the future of this gorgeous machine to be unique and not half ass'd. my options are still open to my possibilities for the custom build but i know these cars are becoming scarce
  9. i plan on driving it with the way it is mechanicly until i get enough money for the trans, rear end and the motor but in the mean time i plan on doing interior work and finish prepping for paint.
  10. i have the glass out because i'm getting ready for paint but the glass is all there and in pristine condition i'm so excited to put the fuel cell in the backand to build my cage.
  11. My new find!!! 1971 510 2 door
