  1. A picture is worth a thousand words. They sent me two right hands of course!
  2. So Eagle Adam, were you able to tell the difference between the two? I am wondering if I just got two the same by mistake
  3. Mine are both in wrappers as well, say the same thing. No boxes though. Bought them from a machine shop. Price was different too.
  4. If you don't see any open ports to plug it into, look on the underside of the air cleaner, several attach under there. where does the other end go to? I will look at mine tomorrow to see if I can trace it.
  5. I am replacing all the ball joints/steering links/ etc on my 79 620. I ordered parts from several places. I bought a right and left tie rod end assembly, (not the center link tie rod). They arrived in a box together, but they are not marked Right or Left. No part numbers. They look exactly the same. Is there a difference?? I have contacted the seller but need to get the truck back on the road before they return to answer. I have my old ones off (1 side), but they all look the same. Any help would be appreciated
  6. I do have the all the vacuum plugged off, because it had a Weber previously. Thanks for the input, will check it out
  7. Thanks again DatzenMike, the bb's were replaced on the rebuild, I thought it might be the accelerator pump, so I switched that out with a new one, and the bb was still in there. There are two different settings on the accelerator pump shaft that you can set the pin in, and 3 holes on the end of the accelerator pump bracket, I tried changing those around, is there a right and wrong setting for those? I will check to see if I am getting a good flow through those holes and reply.
  8. I need help! So I rebuilt a Hitachi carb, installed it on my 620 with the L20 motor, it runs really nice, except it stumbles when you hit the gas or punch i.t. Gets a little better once it warms up, but is still there. Had a weber on before, worked really well, but took that off to put on a different truck. I tried adjusting the mixture screw, but no change to the stumble. Anyone have a clue as to what I should check? This is my third hitachi rebuild, and the others worked great, don't know what to check.
  9. I have a 1970 521, that i would like to take the body off and put it onto a 1979 620 chassis, rather than fix all the suspension, brakes, and steering issues on the 521. Has anyone ever done this? Is there a lot of modifications required, or do they swap easily, I have a 78 regular cab 620 or 79 king cab to choose from.
  10. I have a dog leg 5 speed from a 78 200sx (had an l20) car was running with less than 180K miles when pulled. I bought it for my truck but found out they are shorter than the truck 5 speed. Would be willing to trade for truck 5 speed if you have one.
  11. You called it Datzen Mike, the exhaust was rubbing against the heat shroud where the cat used to be, and the muffler was defective. I started it up when still cold and checked around the exhaust, when I pushed on the side of the muffler I duplicated the noise, just not as bad because it was at idle. Something inside the muffler was loose (only 3 mos old) and rattling around, that with touching the heat shroud made an awful noise like the truck was coming apart. You are the man! Thanks again.
  12. I checked the exhaust, I found I could move the tailpipe up & down, it seems the joint where the exhaust goes into the muffler is bad because it rotates at that point, (looks crimped - not welded) that maybe the cause, had the exhaust put on not long before this happened, I will update.....thanks again Mike.
  13. I recently put a set of factory dualies on the rear, it was doing it before and is still doing it now.
