  1. Glad I found this thread...I've been wondering how its been coming along. Glad to see someone with the time and resources to build her get a hold of it. By the way, I'm the guy who did the floors...lol. I by no means meant for it to stay like that and by no means was going to sell it like that but I wanted to get the car going then slowly restore it as I drove it...the l20b I got with the car was junk though and pissed me off enough that I decided to get rid of it. I can't believe you were told the floors were solid though. When I got rid of it I told Mr. Bohica that they were held in with sheet metal screws and that it needed serious floor help. Sorry for making more work for you though...like I said, was not at all part of the plan. Lol. Still can't believe Chad said the floors were solid :/ But glad to see it coming along! Get her done! By the way, every wire in that car I replaced with a good harness. The original harness shorted out and everything was burnt up. The car is also originally from Florida believe it or not and originally had air conditioning...which is actually what caused the fire and most likely its eventual parking. But keep at it. I'll be staying tuned and next time I'm up in PA I'd like to see it if its running/driving if that's cool. Will be a very cool little car.
  2. http://ocala.craigslist.org/cto/3695638421.html Looks just like my old one...lol Price seems more along what it was actually worth as well.
  3. Nope...still have all of them sitting in my garage in an old empty chlorine container bucket with a lid...lol
  4. Sad news...I actually ended up getting rid of the car and engine. The car was too far gone after looking further into it. I more or less got screwed on the deal and all I had was an engine....which had no oil pressure :/ But the car needed everything, from brakes, to lines, to hoses, to bushings, tie rods ends, and a steering column. Which if it had a nice body it would've been worth fixing, but it was too far gone. Car went to someone who cut it up and pulled the engine, which is fine by me. I was actually sick after I looked more into it :/ Also, the engine was a mystery, that pump was good, and at $350, I couldn't stomach buying another on top of the $150 worth of gaskets to tear it all down again, I was, and am not now, in the situation to be doing all that. And a used pump...well that's risky. I'll get another and it'll be a nice one. A shame I couldn't see that motor run though...that thing would've been a beast. Hopefully the guy that got it now has the coin to fix it up.
  5. The bimmer is that running at I plan on keeping.
  6. The 200sx and the Conquest. The 200sx I never planned on keeping from the get go. That leaves the Conquest which needed more money than it was worth and the motor tore down again...therefore I bought a running car that I plan on keeping. just saying.
  7. Its depressing seeing it get sold for $1k less than I initially paid for it after all that work :/ But hopefully it gets finished this time. I'll own another one day, just want to start out with a little more premium example...lol
  8. ^^^they put out 180hp/225tq stock. This one should be about 300hp/300tq...rough estimate comparing to similar builds. But right now its zero horsepower. Brand new engine with ZERO oil pressure. Even filled the oil pump up with gear oil along with the filter, etc. Absolutely nothing. No oil flow at all. Before I took it apart it was almost 3/4 on the gauge cold.
  9. Yes it does have an API rating...heres a better pic.
  10. Nah, its a Castrol symbol. But, some guy brought it in to dispose of all the oil...I figured I'd take them home since it was the old cans...haha. Cool garage art anyhow. But...looks like they've had the same can design since the 60s...just minor changes. Only thing I saw from the 80s ones I found was that they said made for smaller cars, etc on them. But, idk. I sure wouldn't use the stuff though...probably like crude oil now...haha. I should ask American Pickers.......
  11. I came across these old oil cans. I think I have 15qts...all never opened and in very good shape... I just have no idea what era they're from. Figured some of you guys might be able to help...
  12. I'm not gonna lie...that looks good without any flares at all...just clean that edge up a little more...hahaha. But, I'm liking where this is going...oh...and the Rotas
