I moved mine over to Imgur.

Unreal, greedy Photobucket devils. Can't even look at your album now without turning off a dozen Pop UP adds.

They have 60 million users and all those adds going and it not enough... BLahhhh.

Taking your advise. I'm going to give it a try without Glue. Your right the center console, floor screws and the door sills on the sides should hold it in place.

That insulation is really slippery... like a damn sliding board.

Also thinking about covering the back of the cab from the floor to the bottom of the window.

Not sure if I want to use a thin fiberboard or just carpet it to.

OK, thanks for the comments.

I had some time to work on the carpet.

Got a piece from J.C. Whitney it was supposed to fit the whole cab but what they sent me did fit the front area only so so... I did some trimming to get the front fit.

Now I'm at the "GLUE" or "NOT Glue" the carpet to the insulation ?

I can use the four screws that held the original rubber floor mats.

I've got some spray contact but if I tack the carpet to the insulation and ever need to take the carpet up I'd have a mess...

Appreciate feedback on this.

Got some POR-15 coming via Amazon. Gonna coat the floor pans.

Question......thinking about putting some Heat/Sound deadening on the floor. Maybe inside the doors. To quiet things down inside. Anyone have suggestion ?

I did see on a couple of You-Tube videos that some of the Box Stores carry  Heating Duct (Frost KIng) insulation they say works.

Also, some using Peel N Seal with some success.

Welcome any feedback .

Thanks,

I'm going to button weld it in where I have drilled and cleaned the metal.

I'll seam seal it and take your recommendation and undercoat the heck out of it .

#1432086 Left over flat washer

It kind of reminds me of a friend of mine who pulled his engine and rebuilt it. He told me he took out two and a half cans of bolts and only put two cans back but said boy does she run good !

I think you might be right. I remember when I pulled the cluster out it just fell to the floor mat. I gave it, where the hell did that come from ?

I had my instrument cluster out if my 620. I put it back in and I have one very shiny flat washer about the size of a dime left. I can't recall were that was at.... I'd post a picture but photo bucket is down. It's shiny and clean like new, looks like it has never seen the light if day. There isn't a flat washer on the speedo cable to the head is there ?

#1431823 Tach connections to Pigtail

Posted by 620owner on 03 November 2016 - 05:26 AM

I had to use a little ingenuity and create a Tach Plug.

I had some old radio/TV tubes and the pins were a match for the Tach socket. So I cut three sections from the tube and used them to make the male side of the plug.

Works like a champ !

I live in Ohio and I see a guy in the town next to me selling his Datsun Collection on Craigslist. Just thought I'd spread the message for part seekers.

I don't know this guy and haven't had a chance to check them out yet.

I know I probably should have out this somewhere else, sorry couldn't find the Craigslist place...
