Hey all. Sadly, I have to sell my baby. The engine in my daily driver blew so I need the money to replace it. She is a 1974 Datsun 260z. The car has the original blue paint from the factory that is showing its age. The interior has been mostly removed, the dash door panels, and center console are still in the car. I also have a complete extra dash. The car currently has no engine in it, however I have a complete l24 and a L26 block that will go with it. The L26 was the original engine in the car but it dropped a valve. The head is destroyed but the block looks good except the #3 piston has a hole in it but the cylinder doesn't look bad. The L24 I was told had been rebuilt and had less than 5000 miles on it since the rebuild but the engine is seized. The person I bought it from told me it had been sitting for a few years. I also have a MN47 head (Maxima N47) that will be included along with early SU carbs. The plan was to use the L26 block, the L24 internals, the MN47 head and the early SU carbs. I converted the car from automatic to manual and it will come with a 4 speed transmission along with 2 spare automatic transmissions. Now the part I'm sure you're looking for, rust. It does have some rust on the hood and doors but I have an extra freshly painted L28 hood and extra freshly painted driver and passenger doors, and an extra painted cowl to match (all silver). The floor boards have a couple common rust holes but the frame rails and the rest of the body are in good condition. I drove this car for a few weeks about 6 months ago before the engine dropped a valve so the rest of the car is in drivable condition. The wheels on the car are authentic American Racing Libres. All the spare parts I have are listed below. There might be some things I'm forgetting but everything I have for the car goes with it. I want to sell the car and all the parts together as I don't have time to sell them all off individually. Picked me up a 1993 300zx n/a for a daily driver last weekend! :cool: I've always liked the 300's but I'm actually surprised how much I like it...especially for how beat up she is. It's kinda funny driving it cause it seems like everyone around me leaves more room like they expect me to drive like a douche and cut them off lol Big brother and little brother

Stone mountain is a good place for a meet. That's where the bimmer guys have a big annual meet called 4ngie fest named in memory of a member that passed away. They do it in a large open parking lot that no one at the park uses it seems like.

Didn't get the z running so she won't be there but I'm trying to convince my friend to take her zx. I'll be there either way but might have to be in the daily :/

Saw this brown/tan 240/260 2+2 on I85 today just north of atlanta. Looked like a middle aged bald guy with stunna shades gangsta leanin. lol Made my day especiall when it took off as i was merging on to 285.

Maybe. My buddy and I used to go there every once in a while untill one night one of paulding countys finest was there waiting for us lol He said they were gonna lock it up I don't know if they ever did, that was a couple years ago... I'll go scope it out soon its basically in my backyard. Edit: just saw your post in the old thread metal... I keep running into bs after bs on this damn car so mid July might be a close call for getting it running with the way work is gonna be for me in the next few weeks but I've been spending every waking moment on the weekend doing what I can to get her going. I think late July would be better for me and with trying to keep it before august for the guy who said he couldn't make it after that

I'll be there. The marietta/paulding area would be great for me since I'm right next door in kennesaw but it would probably be a long drive for some. A cookout sounds like a great idea too. And if we have it near paulding county there's an abandoned dragstrip right over there too.(I'm not saying, I'm just saying :) )

You talk to anyone yet metal? I think we should go ahead and get somethimg set up before everyone forgets. Not trying to be pushy or anything like that its just that this will probably be the debut of my z so I'm excited and would like to have a goal set for where I want the car to be before the meet.
