Best way to tell the 5 speed apart is too it... 1. Look and the shifter ears... the tall ones are the better ones. 2. Look direct down at what i call "EARS" (holds/bolts on the exhaust) if theres 2... stay away, if 1 only (drivers side) its a 82-83. 3. Look for the fill plug, if is on the drivers side... stay away, its a wide ratio (MAXIMA) if driver side... grab it. This transmission im selling is a 1982-83 280zx... noting else.

Hi guys newbie here but not to datsuns..... I had over 30 datsuns from time to time.... (WAY B4 THE INTERNET) from 510's coupe,wagons,roadsters,240z,280z,280zx,620's, and ugh...300zx. Done turbo,v8 swaps blind folded...ect. and owned the 000490 240z at one point and time. I own a 1971 datsun240z FAIRLADY (not that word they use on the 350/370z) a true right hand drive, just about 95% finish ready for show..... but enough of that, i came to find a 1981-84 nissan maxima diesel sedan only. It can have a motor but if it doesn't or locked up or not running(body only),thats fine. Im in victorville,ca and i can have it tow it to my house within a few hundred miles. My price for a shell is $500.00 so if your ready to sell let me know asap hit me up at 760-680-7757 chris..
