Ive been working on my 620 for about 5 weeks now ever since the idle went so low I needed to pump constantly to keep it from dying. After Changing the plugs (With correct gap), fuel filter and adjusting the carb, it started backfiring on the carb and spitting flames every time i started it. After reading the posts here, adjusted the points which corrected the idle, that it now runs for about a minute, but then backfires again and spits fire. Ive taken it to my regular mechanic already, and he basically gave up on it. My kids weekend schedule prevent me from working on it for the next few months and I dont want to wait that long. Does anyone know a mechanic who knows old cars and is reliable in the bay area? Preferable near oakland. Thanks Andreas
